CUSTOM_LEAGUE::schedule_league_from_real_schedule() - Invalid team allocation to division

Hi again, i've stumbled onto another problem that i cant seem to really figure out what it actually is, thought maybe someone seen it before or have a guess about what could be wrong. The error message i see when trying to start a new game with my database now is "CUSTOM_LEAGUE::schedule_league_from_real_schedule() - Invalid team allocation to dicision ( ECHL Div: ECHL southwest )".

I had the wrong divisions listed in the schedule template first but fixed this, same error. I were able to start a game before making the schedules. My NHL schedule(which the AHL is NHL+1 date for dates and ECHL is NHL+2 days for the dates) works when starting a game before i added the kinda same schedule to the AHL and ECHL. I cant get past this error it just spams back when clicking ok so dont know if there is anymore errors after it(for example the AHL schedule).

Any ideas guys? Would be awesome to get some help, thanks :)

Edit: Done some testing and "poking around". a) If i start without the ECHL, it seems to work just fine, this makes me think that the schedules are working fine(since all are basically the same). b) All teams have the correct Division and Detailed Division, no extra teams that i have replaced but forgotten about. All teams are Professional, have a home town and country and all that. In ECHL league structure all divisions are present, have 7 teams each and those teams have the assigned division as its detailed division.

Edit 2: Think i might found the problem, but not sure. Looked around ingame and noticed nothing seemed wrong with the ECHL except the didnt appear between AHL and SPHL and no team had a schedule, no game planned at all. Looked in the editor again and saw that when i replaced the divisions in the template before it hadnt allowed me to choose "ECHL Northeast" and instead choose "ECHL Southwest" twice(once when i did and once when i clicked Northeast). Now when i try to add the Northeast it picks Southwest instead and i have no idea why, maybe a bug of some sort? Looks like they have the same UID so trying the UID validator to see if that can fix it. It said around 30k entries had duplicates, will this cause me a problem? Do i have to check everything for changes?

Edit 3: Sorry for the long post and kinda answering myself :) After using it i made it through the "starting a game" sequence. What i did was check the leagues i had changed(NHL, AHL and ECHL), their schedule template and league structure. Then i saw some templates had either competition or division set as out of bounds or something similar, then started the game, got a new error message, deciphered it and tried to fix it until it worked. Dont know if everything is as it should, but i guess i'll find out.

I know my previous post here were all over the place so my question in the end was not easy to see or to understand that i wanted help(me reading it now cant even understand that to be honest). My question is after using the UID Validator is there any thing else i need to look out for, after fixing the schedules? Any known things it might change that needs to be fixed/looked over?

I have to admit that I'm struggling to understand your queries. The error message means that you are trying to allocate an invalid team from the ECHL Southwest in one of your schedules. I expect that this is because you have used an incorrect code number in the schedule template. As you probably know, each code is represented by three digits as follows: dcc where d = division ID (starting from zero) and cc = club ID (starting from zero). So the first club in the first division is 000, the second club in the first division is 001 and the fifth club in the second division is 104, etc. I would suggest that you check for any invalid references - e.g. if ECHL Southwest is your second division and it consists of six teams then every reference for this division should range from 100 - 105. So if you had a 106 then this might cause this error.

Another thing to check is to go to the ECHL on the Rules & Structures screen in the Editor and check the Structure tab. Check every that single conference and division has the correct number of clubs assigned. If a club is missing here then this could be the issue.

As for the UID Validator - this probably won't fix your schedule issue. This is intended to fix any duplicate UIDs (which was a bug with older versions of the Editor and the TBL/Pivot Rosters). Provided you have been using a recent version of the TBL/Pivot Rosters then you won't need to use this. If you have applied the UID Validator then you will need to check that every club, conference and division listed on the Structures tab of every playable league in the DB is correct and that the list of divisions for every schedule template in the DB is correct.

This is solved, for some reason 3 of the divisions i used in ECHL had the same Unique ID, so after using the validator that was fixed. When i selected one of the divisons that had the same UID, only one of them were selected no matter which one i selected, and that made me think about the ID's. I started trying and testing different things myself after my initial post, and edited the post with what the fault were and how i solved it, thats why the post is all over and looks like that.

Ok i have checked the schedule template section and had some entries that turned in to "out of range"(or something similar) which i fixed by checking it towards the original database i was editing(TBL 12.4.3). The only question i had left from my original post above(that i didnt solve by testing) is about the UID after using the validator, but everything seems to work as it should, so thats good.

BTW an extra question for you, in the editor you can export a player but the import button is greyed out, is it possible to export a player from one database and import him in another(for example Gretzky from the 1992 db into my current one) or is this only a gui thing?

You can export/import via the Export and Import Spreadsheet buttons from the File menu.

Can i do that with individual players only? Never tried out the spreadsheet function before.

The function i was asking about was this one https://i.imgur.com/Eblyrxe.png, if this is supposed to work or not, but if you can do that with individual players in an easy way then i have to learn to use spreadsheets :)

No you need to use the Export/Import Spreadsheet buttons I mentioned. This will export all players but you can narrow it down to just one player by deleting all but that one row in Excel.

What are you trying to do in the database, or what have you changed? Sounds like maybe the divisions under "Structure" is wrong. Maybe some team that doesnt have the same detailed division as division in structure.

I cant get to the file, the link says it cant find the folder, my guess(never used dropbox) is that you would need to be logged in to your account to reach that file and that there is probably some way to make the file public or get a link directly to it working for anyone.

Im doing a 42 teams NHL rn and have gotten all to work so if i were able to look at your database i could probably help.

A lot of teams on NHL, AHL and ECHL levels, some made up, some moved from junior leagues and some real defunct teams. In NHL i added these teams:
Alaska Aces - Defunct ECHL team(added for cool logo and geographical reason)
Atlanta Thrashers - Defunct NHL team
Cleveland Barons - Defunct NHL team
Hamilton Tigers - Defunct NHL team
Hartford Whalers - Defunct NHL team
Houston Aeros - Defunct WHA team
New Mexico Natives - Made up(added because i wanted to use the Pueblo flag, turned out pretty neat)
Portland Pirates - Defunct AHL team
Quebec Nordiques - Defunct NHL team
Saskatoon Blazers - Junior team in Canada
Seattle Kraken - Real team now

Nope, they didnt. I think that link is to your own page, so for that link to work you would need to be logged in to your specific account.

When i did this i took geography into account and also cool names and logos that i liked. I really like the Kansas City Scouts logo from the 32x though but i hadnt seen that one when i decided on teams and locations. The Orlando Solar Bears one seemed a bit gimicky to me.

Im 99% sure something is off with either your schedule or league structure/rules. It took a lot of time and different errors before i got it to work, and i have only simmed for two season to check it worked since im not done with my database.

After successfully altering the NHL the way i wanted and everything being done i have started to implement a World league(The world except NA) based on BKArchitects 32x WHA database. When trying to create a simple style league with 20 teams, 76 games, 8 teams in playoff, all is working except the playoffs. For some reason the schedule in the comp looks like this https://imgur.com/7lNGBcR. I have no idea why the playoff looks okay except the "Playoff" on 1st of Jan 2019. I also get this error when going into that screen "COMP_STAGE_STRUCTURE::get_cup_date() - cannot find schedule date for comp". Anyone got any idea what might cause this? Thanks for any help.

Have you checked that the draw dates of each round of your playoffs post-date completion of the regular season and each preceding round of the playoffs?

I were going to try your suggestion but all seemed fine and then i noticed i had set 4 rounds of playoff even though i only had 3 rounds scheduled(Quarter, Semi and Finals) so changed from 4 -> 3 and it worked.

Got kind of a weird problem. I completed all the WHA leagues last night, from WHA to WHA VI, so six leagues, and i got a weird problem, and im not even sure where to look for possible mistakes. So six leagues all named WHA+roman numerals. WHA and WHA-II are ok but WHA-III, WHA-IV, WHA-V and WHA-VI has some problems with the shortcut on the team page. Pic for clarity. So WHA-III and WHA-IV links doesnt work at all, nothing happen when you click it, WHA-V and WHA-VI, when clicked, both leads to the National Ice Hockey League South 2 in Great Britain. I have looked around in the editor some but i honestly dont know where to look really, specially since it isnt the same for all leagues i created.

This is ofc not a game-breaking bug but would be nice to get it solved.

I'd be surprised it was related to Roman numerals but I guess you could temporarily give them different names without Roman numerals just to test that out. Have you checked that each league has separate ID and UID numbers?
