Is it Possible? - Using default (fake) database but using real team logos?

I didn't know where to post or how to word it so apologies in advance.
What I want to do is this:
Load game using default database that comes with the game, but include real team logos? So if Dallas in NHL give them the Stars logo. I don't care about real players or anything but playing with no images is abit boring.
I ask this because, for whatever reason, non of the actual databases work anymore!

You could but you'd have to manually rename the logo files so that they match the faked tram/league names.

I am ok with that, do you know where I would find them? I had a look but I couldn't figure it out
And thanks!

on a side note - the Default DB is so much fun! There are some slight incorrections (Hampus Lindholm is Slovenian, Gabriel Landeskog is Finnish(?)) - but overall it's a blast

Yeah it's pretty interesting! plus you see some weird and wonderful flags that you never see in the hockey world! With the real names you obviously have the pre determind mindset of X is good X is bad without thinking its a game full of stats at the end of the day. Plus using fake names means I have to actually scout properly.

I'm guessing you installed them via Steam? Assuming Steam is installed in "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam" then you need to navigate here: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content
There will then be a bunch of sub-folders with random looking numbers. One of these will contain your EHM Workshop content. Within that folder there will be another set of sub-folders containing each item you have downloaded from the Workshop. Unfortunately Steam uses lots of random-looking folder names which makes things a bit harder to follow. You could narrow it down by searching from something like "New York Rangers" as this should locate that team's logo within the maze of sub-folders, allowing you to pinpoint the location of the logos.
Editing files in your Workshop folder is risky because they will be overwritten when a new update is push via the Workshop. The best thing to do is to copy them over to your EHM installation folder. This link shows you how to locate your EHM installation folder:

You can copy the logo files to your [EHM Installation Folder]\data\pictures\logos\ folder. But note that the logos have to go within the relevant sub-folder. See here for details:

Correct. The only 'bug' there is that I could tell is when the players retire.
IIRC, Alex Ovechkin retires but then is replaced by a different name that's similar to the one that played. His fake name is Denis Arkhipov but when he enters the HHOF its replaced to something like 'Danis Arokov' (or something like that). But once you play 10-15 years down the line, the game retires the names correctly.
I don't know if it's because I've played the Default DB for so long, but the game doesn't keep player achievements even when they retire and become Staff randomly. I know in EHM07, the game would keep the extensive history of each player that 'stayed' in and became a staff member. You could have Ovechkin in 07 have an illustrious player career and staff career logged. In EHM1, Sidney Crosby could retire and become a Head Coach, Scout, etc - but his achievements would be wiped clean. You could have a random regen/newgen come up and retire and their achievements are saved.
Again, I'm not sure if the game picks and chooses what it wants to keep, but it is something I've noticed.

The part about not keeping player achievements could possibly be a bug? Seems a bit odd why it wouldn't?

I'm not sure how if it's an actual bug or not. I think archibalduk could explain it better than I can. I just know that EHM07 kept EVERYTHING of player and staff achievements over their career. EHM1 seems to pick and choose what player/staff history that it keeps over others.
