I quite often edit the databases using the editor. recently ive found that after an update the edited database gets overwritten and when i go to to re edit the default database is there. also i cant seem to find the saved game in the editor either. has something changed or am i looking in the wrong place or doing something wrong?

You need to move your edited database out of the Steam Workshop folder as it will get overwritten each time there is a new update pushed through the Workshop.
You will need to create a new sub-folder under the EHM 'database' folder and put your database.db and extra_config.cfg file in that sub-folder in order to avoid it being overwritten. Usually you will find your database at
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Eastside Hockey Manager\data\database but this could be different if you installed the game elsewhere (but you can easily find it using the guide in this link:
viewtopic.php?t=13584 ).
So you will end up with your edited database.db file in something like
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Eastside Hockey Manager\data\database\[YOUR SUB-FOLDER NAME]\database.db. The database will then appear in the drop-down menu when you start a new game (you will see the name corresponding to whatever you called your sub-folder).
Saved games are usually found in
My Documents\Sports Interactive\EHM\games but I don't recommend editing saved games as they are not really editable and it tends to lead to irrecoverable corruption.
