Keeping it real?

I was reading in reddit how some guys impose self restrictions to keep the game balanced between AI and human, but there were only a few responses so I was wondering if there are anymore here. Myself this is what I restrict myself too:

Free agents: I can only offer for a free agent if I lose a player to FA and I can only offer for that position and ability (thus if a 5-6D man leaves I can offer for a 5-6D man)
Coaching: Coach does his own thing, which can be really infuriating at times, ignoring the veteran 1-2 D man for a rookie...grrrr.
Tactics: leave them alone and let the coach do it.
Trades: trades are ok, I am not very good at it and 90% of the time I get refused, but I know some people have the ability to trade a guy who needs help tying his laces for a 1st pick.

That is about it for me, how about you?

I use similar rules to you, but I do have one exception when it comes to the Coach. I always have them select the lineup and lines, but I will manually adjust the goaltender because I found that if I didn't my starting goaltender would end up playing a ridiculous amount of games each season. So I put the backup in usually every 3rd/4th game and always in the second game when I have two games in two days.

My current coach last season kept starting my backup more then my starter, I didn't renew the backup's contract and brought up a guy from the AHL, now he is using the starter the most. The worst is in the playoffs, putting the bad goalie in in a best of 7 just to throw a game I guess.
