EHM The Blue Line

Hi everyone,
how is your scoring with defensemen? I find it odd that my scoring with defensemen is super low in my opinion. For example, I had Erik Karlsson in one of my careers for 12 years and I barely managed to crack 60 points with him once that whole time, whereas IRL Karlsson in his prime was a regular 60+ assists. Only one other time did I have a defenseman hit 60 points and I often don't get one with even 10 goals. Even in today's real game, 60 points is not a rare occurence and there's somebody with 70+ most seasons. My team averages at least 300+ goals per season so offense in general is not a problem, just would like to see a defenseman put up some major numbers too. What are your experiences? Any tips on what tactics you use?

In my experience D-man scoring is pretty low in the game. They rarely score more than 10 goals and 50-60 points. I suppose this is due to the game engine.

My top 2 D get roughly 80-100 points per.
In 12 seasons I think the highest was 115.
But the actual goal scoring is low, maybe 10-15 per.
