Draft Issue

Hi, I'm new to the board but a longtime player.

I played a lot in the late 2000 early 2010 and now that I'm retired, I have all the time in the world.

I bought the Steam version and selected the Beta Draft. I'm also using the TBL 2024-25 v17.0.2 database.

I have an issue with the drafts. I'm playing the Val d'or Foreurs in the QMJHL.

There are two teams slotted at turn #2 of the first round of the draft. It has for effect to skip to the second round immediately after the second team at #2 turn picks. There are no #3 turn in round one. It goes 1,2,2,4

I installed the DB editor v1.2.4 but I haven't found anything about the current draft in my .sav file.

Would anybody know if this is a known issue and if there is a workaround.

I was a database and application designer in my "past" life so I know how databases works and how to use an HEX editor if need be.

Another thing I noticed when I open my .SAV file. I'm now in 2030 (Start season 2024) and when I look at the draft history, I see only the drafts prior and including the 2024 season of the original DB. All draft picks from 2025 to 2029 don't appear. Are they stored in a separate file ?

Many thanks in advance.

I'm afraid this isn't something I've heard of before and I can't think of a workaround. I can't see any duplicate draft pick in the extra_config.cfg file which allows picks to be switched, so this sounds like a game bug. If you could share a copy of the .SAV then I can forward to Riz in case this is something which might be fixable in a future patch.

I'm not really sure what happens to the draft pick history in saved games. We don't really have any of the data structure details and so a lot of looking at .SAV files is guesswork. For the same reason, we cannot really make any changes to a .SAV without corrupting the data.
