Theres this one glitch where people get signed to major contracts... who has it hit for you?

for me it's Mike Komisarik, Nolan YOnkman, Jochen Hecht, Jeff Wowitka and Mike Green (just the top 5)

For your other question, I think it was a bug that got fixed with 3.0.3. Do you have the newest patch?

Maybe saw this in 2005, without the Cap patch.. like Yashin or Jagr having Gigacontracts, but i'm not sure..

well.... Jagr and Yashin do have massive contracts

but these are players that I've never even heard of... It's in 2007 but there might be a patch i need to download

Yes...read the SI Forums. You may have to go back a long way but the info is all there. If you are not running the latest patch version 3.03 then there are going to be things that are wrong. It is not just you, but it seems like a zillion people out there (SI forums, here, Eastside UK, HF are complaining about problems that have already been fixed and posting them everywhere). If you have not upgraded to the last patch....Then do it first and it may fix the things you want to ask about when you start a new game. Then you won't need to ask!
Check with SI forums as I said, all the bugs from previous versions are there and well documented. This was a problem with 3.01, and maybe 3.02. It is now fixed, and well documented in patch changes threads at SI in the Bugs Forum, and General Discussion, and maybe in 1000 other places.

when you download patches... does it overwrite ur saved games?

No. But the patch will apply to the save game. However, it will not correct everything that was wrong with the game. To get the best effect you have to start a fresh new game!

No. However as they say you should always start a new game to get the most benefit from patches especially ones that have database updates as this one does. If you have any "skin elements" like custom ices or scoreboard/elements you'll have to re-install them after applying the patch.

As this has become more about the patches I'll move this one to Graphics

I've had nightmares reinstalling all of the addons I had (AKA all of them) in the past day...
