So, when the Rangers miss the playoffs this year, is Sather finally going to have run out of slack rope and hang himself?

8 out of 9 years missing the playoffs with big salaries, big stars, and an easy market to attract more?

I say yes, he is finally done. Likely retire, or move only to President.

Here is the rub...My predictions on who will fill Glen's role.

1. Mark Messier-Assistant General Manager
2. Tom Renney -Remains as Coach
3. Yep I Am saying it: MIKE KEENAN General Manager
4. Mike Pelino will stay on as assistant coach.

Just a feeling I have. But who knows better than me? :-D

I would love to see them bring in Messier as head GM, with an experienced AGM. But, I wouldn't put it past them to bring in Keenan.

I would LOVE to see a team KEEP Keenan, everyteam he has gone to has improved, but he usually gets fired right before his improvements really kick in, and i'd love to see what he can do with 5-6 years. (And yes, I know some of the times he leaves on his own :P)

Keenan is nomadic, that's just the way he is. That being said, I don't NOT think that they would bring him back. My contribution to the discussion will be to agree with batdad's list.
