Unreasonable board expectations and eccentric boards

Well I always played with the fact i could get fired as a DG, i always found that more realistic but now i had to take it off... I am in 2015-2016 and it's my third season with the Chicago Wolves. The two first seasons i didn't made the playoff and the board was happy with me. This season i got good players from Atlanta and i sign really good players, but now the board want the fired me and i am in 2nd place at 1 pt of the first...

What the Dickens is that?

Did you go over the board's budget by a lot? That's the only explanation I can think of.

Yeah, i don't see other possible explanation that the one mentionned by B72 :dunno:

Or maybe too many players are unhappy with how you treat them (warnings, fines, etc).

If you don't face any of those issues, ask for more time to rebuild the team (in "general manager / board confidence / request). That may save you. Firing your head coach would maybe help, but you could be fired very soon if the board feels your head coach was a good one, so be carefull with that.

I don't see any other option...:-k

Budget: 1.5M
Salary: 1.2M

My coach is fine, i just got a new one because the old one sign with a NHL team.

All my players are happy... That's weird!

Hm...:-k Wait a bit and see how things turn... If your board becomes too impatient, ask for more time to rebuild (even if you don't seem to be rebuilding :p). And well...some owners aren't really clever and would fire the wrong person... You may be just unlucky with the directors you have...

Did you issue them any ultimatums beforehand? That's a good way to really annoy the board!

No i never did that either...

But it seem that some players are unhappy that i've finish 2nd and got kicked out of the play off in 3rd round of AHL! Maybe the board wanted me to win the Calder and destroy the AHL!

Make any trades that upset them?

There are always plenty of things that will keep your board widdled at you. It can include random trades, asking them for more time when they have already given it to you before, going over budget, firing certain people, and a few other things.

I think you will be ok if you finish the season with a winning record and you go far into the playoffs.
