Hmmm...Jordan, Eric...WHERE was Marc?
orignally wrote Jared for Jordan.
Sounds like they were basically having a good time, and small town coppers got a little upset. darn neighbours. Let the boys play. Wonder what they said to the motorists? "Hey honey, we make millions...come get rich quick cutie!!"
not like they had dogs fighting or were betting on games they were involved in. Geez.
Edit: This quote from another board cracked me up.
Jordan Staal is the Lidsay Lohan of the NHL.

You can tell it's the offseason... they played music loud? What 18 year old doesn't do that?

It was his bachelor party for Pete's sake! You'd think that wherever they were holding the party would've taken that into consideration and either put them in a place where they wouldn't bother anyone, or make some other accommodations. This is just stupid.

But oh so funny.
What exactly were they yelling at the passerby's.
Were Marc and Jared even there?
I really believe that soon we will hear that ED BELFOUR was at the party. Heh.

You'd think the other brothers would be there but they only mentioned Eric and Jordan. They also said several cousins. I don't know?
Oh please! Don't even think of those kids hanging out with Ed Belfour! They've got promising careers.

Okay I take back the Belfour comment. Sorry...
Jared is what 16? Marc is younger or older than Jordan? But yeah, likely them and daddy Staal around somewhere.

I'm a little bit disappointed it took 4 posts to mention Eddie

Maybe that Swedish guy was there as well, what's his name again...Worrell

Jared is 16, 17 next month, Marc is two years older than Jordan at 20, but because Marc was born at the start of the year, and Jordan towards the end, they are only 1 year difference in terms of draft class, or somethin like that
the article calls them kids, thats a bit mean, cops should have better things to do, like catch thieves or gangstars, not go after a bunch of "kids" shoutin,
but Eric is 22, people need to grow up... ooo John DeCock, what a funny name
good find Mr. Batdad

I don't really think this a bid deal. They're just out trying to having a good time just like anyone else their age. The only difference is that they're pro athletes.

Exactly Joe...I highly doubt there is a guy on this board (save the young Oobla), who has not done something or will not do something that is silly as a young adult. At least no DUI's, no gambling, no dog fighting..no entourages's shooting people, no rape...no hazing..no nothing. Just boyz having fun.
Yep stupid fun...but who am I to say this was bad. Eric and Jordan will get it when they get to Training Camp from teammates/coaches...and on the ice from the oppositon.

Luke DeCock is the Hurricanes beat writer.
Nobody likes him.
He sucks.
This story on the other hand had me cracking up. Marc was the only Staal not there. Jared wasn't arrested for some reason that I can't remember.
Sucks for Eric that he will be in court during his honeymoon.
At least he wasn't out electrocuting dogs or something.

Haha, Erics your role model i see, not setting a good example, naughty naughty,
you would never catch mr. Getzlaf doin anythin as stupid as making noise!

Do you seriously believe that what he did was that horrible?
Much worse happens at average bachelor parties. If they weren't in a resort full of rich people who cared then they would probably never have been kicked out of the hotel to begin with, let alone bothering motorists (though I doubt there were many motorists to bother, that area of Minnesota is basically wilderness.)
I think you are all just jealous that the Staal's party harder and you weren't invited.

i dont, i was tryin to sound sarcastic, but u cant sense the tone of my writing, but i dont tihnk he did anythin wrong at all, police shud be out catching murderers or other serious crime, rather than noise pollution,
and that raises the question, why were only eric n jordan there? is this thing only for NHLers

but it was there brothers batchelor party, they must be invited???

I don't think they actually got arrested. I think the cops are actually strippers... dressed as cops... and this is all just a part of their plan to fool the party-goers.
...Any day now, all will be revealed... quite literally. (Queue the techno music:

)

Man it did not take inSTAALed long to get it going.
I figured he would have a comment on this one. And for once I kind of agreed. The only thing I would tell the boys is ... Once the cops show up...shut up and make your merry way out of there. You just askin' for it if you don't.
Jared was there I believe, but probably not at the scene. A little young, and papa Staal prolly made him go home early. I am sure he was drinking grape juice. Marc may have been off skating somewheres who knows?
Anyway, inSTAALed is a fun guy to get to know, and he will defend all things Canes to the end of the road Getzlaf...He is the only Canes ticket holder ever...so enjoy his posts

From
the ESPN story on the incident:
Curran said the brothers were among several partygoers who went to bed when authorities first gave the group a warning, and when authorities returned to kick the entire party out of the resort, they first had to wake the Staals up.
That's their manager talking, but it seems to me like the Staals need to take a few pointers from Belfour in how to be properly drunk & disorderly.

Prosecutors are willing to drop the "obstructing the legal process" charges and offer the Staals petty misdemeanor charges for disorderly conduct.

The article said something about Eric Staal's day in court being delayed because he's still on his honeymoon. So don't worry about US authorities holding him.
