Players that whine

I have Mezei whining about the referees in my Florida save. (this is the second season in a row he does this) It´s always for a short period, but i bugs me!
"think referees are unfairly targeting him"
I have seen Darius Kasparitis do this in other saves, but have never had any player do this on my team.
That is until now.
So my question is:
Are there any attributes, high/low, to look out for when aquiring players. I mean i don´t like a players that whines.
Thanks in advance // me

Not really...but I have never had a North American player whine. In fact, I have only ever had Russians and Czechs whine...
Not that this has anything to do with it...but the ones I get are Saprykin and Svitov.

Well it´s not that big of a deal. I have Marc Staal probably taking Mezei´s spot next year..
It was just confusing me that there´s no attribut controlling this, seeing it´s the second year in a row and the same player whining.
He can look for a new club next year, and whine there.

I've seen this with Evgeni Malkin, and he doesn't rack up very many PIMs.

It's been the same for me, usually it's guys like Salei and Kasparaitis that do the whining. Dirty defensemen, both of them

Like Batdad said, I've never had a North American player complain that the refs are picking on him. It's usually Russians but something Czechs or other Eastern Europeans. I don't think I've had this problem with Scandinavians. It's a little annoying.

Surprisengly, I have Alex Ovechking(!) complaining about the same things (referees). Just don't get it. He's been a leading scorer in my game for more than 3 years. His current stats: 57 GP, 100 points,
45 PIM, +48, ATOI=18:30 min, AvR=8.84. He plays with J.Carter on RW, phenom center C.Doyle (even better than Carter in my game), J.Bouwmeester and F.Tyutin. They have a great chemistry and also are my leading PP unit. Alex sees plenty of ice time, so what goes wrong? The only thing that comes to my mind is that I have very balanced 4 lines indeed and my fourth liners all have 1st line potential. In AHL I have a lot of top-tier prospects looming..., so maybe, just maybe he feel he's no more my only superstar. Any thoughts?

On Board Confidence Menu you can back your whiner player up by making a complaint to NHL.
I've never tried that before but maybe your player stops whining.

The "Complain to league" feature just covers the last game played. It doesn't help much for a player that feels he's always being singled out. If you complain to the league too often, you'll be warned, and then fined. It doesn't really help make the player happy again. He's just got to get over it on his own. My only other suggestion would be to maybe turn down his aggressiveness.

I've got Svitov whining right now and it says that he's "Willing to stay at the team"...
It's almost as if they blame us GM's for it

Alexander Semin is constantly whining in my game, I kept him for a couple years on my squad but got sick of it and traded him to Tampa, since then he has continued to whine constantly despite getting pretty much everything hes wanted from their GM.

I'm in 2012 and I have Semin mad at me for no reason. I'll offer him contracts for whatever he wants, and it always says hes unhappy with me. I don't understand why, I've never disciplined him or anyone else, and we're always winning.

Maybe he wants more ice time?
Or he just doesn't like your face... nothing personal, it's just you...

Well he's been on the 2nd line since I started the game. And we all know there's no way he's gonna beat out Ovechkin for the first line left wing.

I have the exact same situation, go figure...

Try him on Ovi's right wing. ANd then if he sucks..he won't whine for a bit..cause he got his chance.

Semin is a goof in the game and in real life..cool.

In my save, Eric Lindros complains that "his mom thinks he should be on the first line."
Just kidding of course, but wouldn't that be cool if they had some personalized complaints. Maybe Darcy Tucker could whine about refs not calling penalties when he goes down, Jonathan Toews whines about the team that drafts him, Ed Belfour complains that alcohol isn't allowed on team flights.

While using the F word.
