The Prediction League is once again ready to set off for a new season!

Be sure to bookmark it!

Good work Octavian! :)

The idea is, we'll start adding games to predict, once the NHL season is closer. But the question is, will we be predicting other leagues aswell, or just the NHL?

I think the NHL alone would do fine, but if you people want to predict other leagues, we can start with them now already, and add the NHL to it when it's starting.

Opinions?

We'll go with the NHL only then. :)

We'll be adding games on every week. Mainly on sundays (atleast I'll add on sundays, don't know about the other admins). First games will appear a few days before 5th October for the first week.

We'll let ya'll know in this thread when we've added games.

Comments, suggestions and pre-views to this thread if you got any. :)

We'll start with four games:

5th October: Canadiens - Bruins
5th October: Rangers - Flyers
7th October: Sharks - Blackhawks
7th October: Capitals - Thrashers

I've made all games start at 12:00 TBL Time (is it GMT+1?). I have no idea what time these games will be played in the US and in what time zone etc, so 12 TBL Time should do it as deadline... :D

Next sets of predictable games will be added on all Sundays from now on.

If you want certain teams to be predicted, make yourself heard, I'll do my best to follow our favourite teams.

List of favourite teams so far:
Tasku - Caps
Octavian - Thrashers
Achibalduk - Bruins
Minty - Blackhawks
Dave - Rangers

(BTW, Octavian, is it possible to make the game show visitor first and home team second, like they do in the NHL?)

What I meant was, could we have it so that they're Away - Home, not Home - Away, like they're now.

Not a big deal, just wondering, since we're playing the NHL.

My only hope for this year is that my Blackhawks don't torture me... recent history has not been kind to my Hawks with their idiot ownership and worse personell decisions but I hope for at least neutral this year 8-[ I usually say that being a Hawks fan isn't a choice as much as a sickness. I can't help it, I'll always be a Hawks fan.

Having a team that bad for that long though I have become really a fan of the league though my other favorite teams to watch are Philly, San Jose (when not playing the Hawks!) and Vancouver. Can't wait for the season to start!! This is going to be fun Tasku, I'm looking forward to being very bad it #-o

Sounds just as desperate, as being an Espoo Blues fan. Although this year they've started off real good, and looks as the tide has turned.

And now, if only the Caps would get their act together...

Ow, yes, this can be done... but not now, I'll add it to the list :P. It's just moving some PHP-code but still... :)

Dunham, De Vries and Hossa... well I guess I should be happy
Ilya didn't even play against the Panters and we won so... :D. From what I've read Kozlov had a good match.

A good deal of exciting matchups between our favourite teams next week. Rangers, who had a good start to the season so far, will play the Capitals on Monday and Atlanta on Saturday. Archie's Bruins and Rubbinio's Sens will see who's best on Saturday, while the Blackhawks will go solo against Avalanche, not within the TBL Favourites List(tm).

October 10th: Rangers - Capitals
October 14th: Blackhawks - Avalanche
October 15th: Bruins - Senators
October 15th: Thrashers - Rangers

If you want your team to be followed in the predictions, lemme know in this thread, and I'll add it to the list and do my best to include their games to be predicted.

Also, if you'd prefer we follow more teams, not only our favourites, also let me know. I kinda like the idea of following our favourites mainly, but if you guys think that's too concentrated, then once again, lemme know.

Minty - Blackhawks
Dave - Rangers
Rubbinio - Senators
Devils88 - Devils
Zetterman - Stars
Joehelmer - Avalanche

:p Probably I should change the avatar to Pittsbourgh, 'cause it seems like I'm becoming this team's fan so far, I really like them... not only because Mario play there (well, for the most part I do). But you see, when I was looking at the avatar's list, I found some old & gone avs of the clubs that moved south during 90's... that was a kind of nostalgie for these times... like, you know, when I was young, the trees were higher, the weather softer, the girls were much more genious... and yes, NHL hockey was much more interesting. Don't bother, it's just my usual 'old_times_mumbling'. If you want to, add Pittsbourgh as my favourite.

Alex.

Second week of Predictions is behind us, third about to start.

Here's how the players scored points on our last set of four games:

Tasku: +7 points
Devils88: +5
Jepcan: +3
Minstrel: +3
Archibalduk: +2
Rubbinio: +2
AlexCobra: +1
Calv: +1
Dave: +1
Octavian: +1
Zetterman: +1
Grazza: 0

Four of my seven points I owe to Capitals winning the Rangers 3-2, which in all honesty, even I didn't really believe in. But a fan can't predict against his own team can he? Guessing the right winner and the correct score on the Rangers game brought me my first points of the game, and a total of seven of them in this round, knocking Dave from his first place to a shared third!

Devils88 knew the exact correct score of 1-5 on the Bruins at Senators game, earning him four points, plus one more on the correct winner for Thrashers vs Rangers game, totaling six points for the TBL Official Graphics Contributor.

In the standings, I lead the game with 7 points ( :-p ), while Devils88 is at 6 points. Rubbinio, Dave and Minstrel are at four points right on the tale on a shared third position. A tightly packed group indeed.

And here are next weeks games:

October 20th: Devils - Penguins
October 21st: Senators - Lightning
October 22nd: Flames - Stars
October 22nd: Devils - Thrashers

Devils88's New Jersey will meet AlexCobra's Penguins and Octavian's Thrashers to see who gets to glow on who in this wonderful world of TBL Prediction League. Rubbinio's Senators are playing the reigning Cup winners at Tampa and Zetterman's Dallas Stars will take Calgary as their visitor on Saturday. Grab your keyboards, sharpen your hockey brains, another week of Predictions is ahead! =D>
