First of all, I'm new here, but want to say, I'm liking the site.

I've been moving everything over to my new laptop, and decided to use your database (thank you TBL). However when I downloaded the database and started a campang with my Penguins I was curious about how the salarys for Crosby and Malkin were calculated. Malkins I could understand (taking into account his bonus), but Crosbys I don't get. Unless you're averaging the new contract with the old one.

I haven't looked at any others on other teams, but was wondering if someone could confirm or explain the salarys....

Hey Riptide, welcome to the site.

In the editor it is impossible to determine player salaries on a year to year basis, so we decided to calculate their average, and make it their yearly salary. You are right though, there's a mistake on Sidney's salary and thanks for pointing that out. It will be fixed on the upcoming release.

Real contract:

2007-08: 850,000
2008-09: 9,000,000
2009-10: 9,000,000
2010-11: 9,000,000
2011-12: 9,000,000
2012-13: 7,500,000

This totals 44,350,000 for six years, and averages 7,392,000 per year.

Next time though, post any issues concerning data mistakes / questions to our Roster Update mistakes / omissions thread here thanks for pointing out that we had wrong numbers on his contract though.
