Shootout tips

First, I apologize if there is already a thread for this, but I used the search function and didn't see an appropriate thread. Please move it if necessary

All,

I'm still relatively new to the game, so bear with me.

I'm having a terrible time winning shootouts. My goalie is fine, it's the offense that is bad. My current team has Ovechkin, St. Louis, Zubras, Kovalev, and a couple of other snipers, but I get 1 goal, maybe 2 if it goes past 3 shooters.

Is there some attribute I should look for? Some tactic I should set?

Thanks in advance

I wish! Shootouts have been the bane of my EHM existence! I almost always lose them. I usually go with a combination of skill and the player's rating for that game to decide shootout order. Beyond that, I don't think there is much you can do.

My combination is a mix of deking, wristshot, creativity, anticipation and, of course, players' current condition. To put it simple, if Ovechkin's condition is 83%, he won't be among my first 3 shooters.

You know, condition is something I never look at when choosing my shooters. I really should start paying attention to that.

Another thing I look at is if they have scored in the game already, sometimes I find that helps.

I personnally look at deking, wristshot, flair, stickhandling (you can't make a good deke if you loose control of the puck!), game rating and condition :-k Then i pray Carey Price will make enough saves :p
