EHM The Blue Line

In English:
In EHM 2005 in the Finnish league I played with a National League team. (Mestis)
I had no patches or something so the first year I played I get to the best league in finland, Elite League (Sm-Liiga)
But then I downloaded Patch 2.1.3 and now I can´t come to Sm-Liiga with a Mestis team.
How can I do to get a open league, when I can take a mestis team to Sm-Liiga and fall back with them to mestis?
I have the editor so I can change something, But how I can do?

I EHM 2005 så om man spelade i finska national league (Mestis) utan patch så kunde
man stiga första året till Elite League (Sm-Ligan) men inte falla.
Men nu när jag har patch 2.1.3 så kan man varken stiga eller falla.
hur ska jag göra för att få en öppen liga? att man varje år kan försöka stiga en nivå upp i spelsystemet
och sedan försöka undvika nedflyttningskval..
Jag har en editor så säg bara vad jag ska göra? hjälp mej vill så gärna stiga till den högsta ligan!
Men jag vill inte på nått sätt ändra att de spelar från början i Sm-Liga utan jag vill själv stiga med dom..! Hjälp mig!

Isn't SM-Liiga a "closed" league like NHL?

In real life SM-liiga is closed, but in EHM this varies depending on the patch and the game, wether it be EHM 2005 or 2007.

In EHM 2007 we are "open", even if in real life we're not. In EHM 2005 this situation is changed according to patches. First, when the game came out, it was an open league, and then a patch made it a closed league. This is because EHM was programmed during the summer time and during the end of the previous season. During that time, on both preseasons, there was alot of discussion in the Finnish hockey cirles, on wether we should or should not have an open or closed league. And this discussion is still going to date. The developers were making fixes to it as the news progressed. First it was supposed to be open, then no, maybe not afterall, and it ended as a closed league, which was not changed in to EHM 2007, where the league is open for promotions and relegations.

So to answer your question: you can't change it, not even with the editor. If you buy EHM 2007, you will get an open league, even if this is not the case in real life.
