Dan Blackburn is forced to retire at 22, due to a nerv injury on his shoulder.

He entered the NHL as the youngest goalie ever in the league, and now he's retiring as the youngest goalie - if not ever - then atleast for some time.

Harsh.

There has been a wave of retirements with guys deciding the couldn't/shouldn't return after the year off but yeah you certainly don't expect a 22 year old to be on that list.

Tough break.
