EHM The Blue Line

Hi Guys

I have a huge problem.

Im playing as Djurgården in the Swedish Elitserien.

The season have just ended and im building a new team for next season.
When i have got some players from the free agent list i can get the message " You have to many players in your team to sign with these player". But the funny thing is that i can sign some players and some not. Its a bit strange i think.

Does anyone know what to do?

Maybe they're non-EU players?

Or some other roster rule. Check the league info tab in the standings page.

You can sign only a limited number (four, I think?) of non-EU players in Swedish Elite.

They are EU players all of them, most of them are swedish players.

I can sign some players and some not, its strange i think.

For example, i will sign a new contract with my players now. And most of them i can sign with but from some players i get the message that i havent got any space in my team left

Hard to say really.

Maybe if you can provide us with a screenshot if your roster or the players your trying to sign, we can figure it out.

Did you edited the database or use an edited database? It might be part of the issue...

I havent edit anything in the database. Im playing on the new TBL update (1.5?)

I will provide a screenshot when i have the same problem

Let's hope it's not a TBL:DB issue... We had no bug issue so far, but it might be it...

Did you notice if the problem is with players having NHL rights? If those rights have been traded last year, then they should have been edited in the TBL:DB... Not sure it's the issue, but just an idea...

As you can see i cant sign a new contract with some of my guys, but if you look at the last news on that page i could sign a contract with Törnqvist and Tolsa.


The players are all having NHL rights since years ago, so that cant be the problem

Hmm... that is weird. There's no reason why you shouldn't be able to sign those guys. Karalahti may be on a drinking binge and unable to get out of bed in time, but other than that, no reason what so ever...

As far as i know, there are no roster restrictions in Elitserien other than for the non-EU players, so there's no reason for that to happen...

Unless... How many players do you have on your roster? Maybe there's a "game limit" to roster sizes... I mean maybe the game only allows let's say 50 guys in the roster or something like that... which shouldn't be a problem usually, but might be the source of this stuff... I doubt it is it however, but who knows...

cant be that i have to many players because they are already in my team and i just want to sign a new contract with them.

And when im buying new players, its no problem with some of them, but a couple of the guys cant sign a contract with me because of that problem i have.

If you've only just started, I'd recommend you try a restart and try to offer them new contracts straight away to see if that'll work. It may only be a bug in creating the game or something...

=( Restart will be hard because i have finally got a great team^^

well, i dont know what to think right now. Because some of my players are gone now from the squad, i can find them as free agent now

As you can see, Niklas Falk and Mattias Timander are gone. And i havent done anything. I have tried to restart the save file but i have the same problem.

Not so much a dream team anymore?

Seriously though... sucks, for sure. Definately some sort of bug possibly in the save game or an error that has happened while creating the game initially.

Okay, you got like 26 players with your main team, but how many with your affliates?
I think Shadd was right if you a huge numbers of contracts...

With EHM 2005, I've already read some issue similar, this time by signing too many Russians with an NHL team..

And there isnt any limit in Elitserien for how many players you can have.

There's no limit in the league, but there's maybe a limit that the game can support...

Or you're just out of luck with a corrupted save game

I have already got the player sin my team, and whe i want to sign a new contract with them i get that message, so i will NOT get MORE players in my team.

Its possible he is a PLayer/Coach and if you have to many staff members he can't fit in i no i had that problem with a few players in the past.
