I want to change my pc for a laptop.
Will EHM play on most laptop or should I look for specific graphic card or other specs?
Is there any issues with Vista?
Any recommendations?
Thanks!

It should work fine on any laptop how ever you have to play full sceen.
With Vista you need to run as administrator the first time. After that everything should be fine.

I play on a lap top..always have, and I play it windowed just right click your EHM desktop shortcut, and where it says target copy -small_screen -windowed to the end..and it should work, at least it did for mine.

Play on a laptop, i've never had any issues with windowed mode except my sound controls don't work when it's the main screen, but that's it. Everything else runs great.

The most important thing is to ensure that you have plenty of RAM and processing power. I run EHM on a laptop with a 2.2ghz Celeron and 448mb RAM and its playable but can get a little sluggish if you run a few background leagues.

I think this is a game thing, because I get it too with my desktop PC. I always have to click outside of the game's window(making it 'inactive') before I can adjust the volume with the keyboard's controls.

It's funny, because I run EHM on my laptop, and when i'm in hardcore sim manager mode I run FM on my PC, which is older, but in theory more powerful, but FM chugs along so much slower than EHM. Of course, there is a LOT of football in the world, so maybe that's it.
Laptop EHM is great if you can do it, because I'll take it with me to my family's house to play, or if I know it's a slow week at work i'll have it on my desk next to me while I'm working and reach over and play for 5 minutes here and there through the day.

Exactly, sometimes I work long and quiet nights at work and I miss my EHM!
BTW thanks to everyone for your replies!

I run EHM05 on an ancient laptop from 1998, with all leagues active. Works perfectly!

I was trying to find a solution for my netbook Acer Aspire one 150. It's screen resolution is only 1024x600
(my topic was cosed:
http://www.ehmtheblueline.com/forums/vi ... php?t=5287)
But after few hours with google I found a solution that worked.
Just in case that someone else also wants to play NHL EHM 2007 with netbook, here's the link:
http://nodadev.wordpress.com/pc-projects/a1ctl/
With that program the game works fine in windowed mode.

My EHM 2007 works better on a ten-year-old IBM thinpad than a 2008 model hp laptop. o.O

Does this work ONLY on an Acer Aspire? I followed your link and the program seemed to be made to control the fan speed on an Acer Aspire netbook but also did a few other things including allowing you to change the screen resolutions to ones not normally available. I've got a Dell netbook (I hate Dell but it was free from my cable company) that I would love to be able to try this out on.

That one is made for acer aspire, but that program does not need any installation, so I dont think it can do much damage if you try (when testing: maybe you shouldn't do those log changes what it asks at first start -easier to remove if it doesn't work) and there's not much difference in different netbooks anyway. That program gives you two ways to get ehm running, you can either downscale the game to fit in 1024x600 or enlarge the screen to 1024x768. I liked the first one better (don't need to scroll up and down to see the whole picture).

Or you can search information about program called AsTray Plus if it suites better for dell.

Thanks! I'll take a look at AsTray Plus and see if that suits my netbook more. I'm thrilled at the idea that there is something that might actually allow my netbook to play EHM. Even regular laptops these days seem to be too small.

Here's also one hint for possible Asus netbook users; "eeectl" program could be helpful
