The Prediction League is back for another season! I thought I'd leave it a few weeks for the TBL Challenge to get into swing before starting another competition - that's why I didn't start right at the start of the new season. Like the past two seasons, the competition will be split into two regular season games (each involving 60 games to predict) and then a play-offs prediction competition. The first half will run from now until early January and then the second half will start in the middle of January until the end of the season.

The competition is in its usual format: Predict the five NHL games per week and get points for predicting the correct winner and extra points for correctly predicting the exact score:

* Correctly predict the exact score - 3 points
* Correctly predict the winner - 1 point

Simply click on the "Prediction League" button at the top of the header navigation bar to go to the Prediction League page. To join in on the fun, click on the "Predict" button located to the left of the Upcoming Games List. This will take you to a page where you can then enter your predictions for each result. Click on the "Make Predictions" button to save your predictions.

You can keep going back to your predictions before each prediction deadline by clicking on the "Predict" button to edit your predictions.

The Upcoming Games List also details when the deadline is to make a prediction for each game. The deadline for each game is one hour before faceoff.

I'll be adding new games to predict roughly every two weeks and will post an update in this thread every time I add a new set of fixtures.

The first two weeks of games to predict are now on the site. Good luck everyone!

You might see that the league standings are from last season. The back-end system we use on the server is currently unavailable because we need to install a new licence key. Once the new key has been installed by Octavian I shall reset the league standings. You can still predict the games in the mean time.

It's all working like normal now. No predictions have been lost.

The league standings have been updated. Don't forget that it's never too late to join!

The next set of games are ready to predict. The first game takes place this Sunday (16 Nov). Loxish and Rookier are in joint first position, but we've played so few games so far that it's very close. Things will start to separate out after this fortnight's set of games.

Apologies for there not being any fixtures to predict last week. I've been having bandwidth problems for the past two or three weeks which means that my internet connection grinds to a halt in the evenings. My ISP is working on fixing it but they're really dragging their heels. Anyway, I've provided an extra set of fixtures to predict over the next two weeks to make up for it.

Rottamies is currently at the top of the standings, with Loxish and Stinson just one point behind. It's still very close but the next two weeks will see things start to open up.

By the way, the prediction league page just lists the next ten fixtures. If you go back to the page on 7th December you will see the next five fixtures to predict.

The next round of games are ready to predict. Rottamies, Laker and Corinthian are starting to take control of the top three positions.
