EHM The Blue Line

I'm playing a game with the New Jersey Devils using Lidas DB 1.0. Overall it's going allright. Managed to get to the playoffs
the first and second season (eliminated in second round). My talent pool is overwelming (Pickard, Stamkos, Tavares, Pääjärvi-Svensson and Hedman). But after the third season a lot of contracts expired. Olli Jokinen (avg. 9.3), Niclas Bergfors, Scott Niedermayer and another bunch. Then when they became free agents I tried desperately to resign them and sign some othe free agents. But no one accepts my offer! Then one after another accepts offers from other clubs. And now when I look in the info tab of Jokinen it's says "intrested: New Jersey Devils - FOR FREE". Then I see it's the same with all the players I've tried to contract. Why is this happening? Now I have started another game and I can't even sign college players! It just keeps saying "for free". Do I have to reinstall the game?

They are "free" if they are out of contract. It means the team doesn't need to pay a transfer fee, which is common in Europe.

I would say there's nothing wrong with your game. Your players just prefer to sign with someone else.

Haha! You are right. I was just stupid and upset.. found an old save and loaded it. Managed to resign both Jokinen, Niedermayer and Bergfors. I guess my offers weren't good enough or maybe because I only had one high rep player on the team (brodeur), the free agents didn't consider me a cup candidate.
