Stacked Draft in 2009 with Lidas 1.1 Roster

Has anyone noticed that the 2009 Draft using Lidas 1.1 rosters is littered with amazing european talents.
Hasek's regen is obviously there but at least 15-20 of the top 30 picks are european and almost all of them are being compared to current NHL superstars by my scouts (all 20s in scouting attributes).
The 22nd ranked player is being touted as a better version of Spezza and most of them look NHL ready.
Anyone had experiences with this?

Without looking at it, one would surmise that this this a result of the tremendous number fo players who retire on or about 1 September 2006 in-game.
Since most Euros regen in 2 years, you get the likes of Forsberg and Hasek in a very short period of time.

Bingo! That's exactly what's happening. And the reason Lidas is having them retire on the first day is to keep the talent pool stocked.

B72 is right, instead of removing the players directly, I have them retire on the first day so that their talent doesnt disappear from the game, but gets re-generated again instead. Sure, there are some top notch Euro players who retire (Bure, Hasek, Forsberg, Mogilny etc.), but I believe it's balanced since also Lindros, Leech, Hull, Neely, Francis from the North American block retire. (Might even be more North American players than European players.)

That makes sense and thanks for the response. The only naff thing is my Leafs team is actually playing really well so i might not got a sniff at any of those guys but it makes for one hell of a draft year.

This is really just splitting hairs, but that Hasek respawn you speak of I do believe is actually the Arturs Irbe respawn, since Irbe was 5'8 and acrobatic from Latvia.. 2010 is the Hasek respawn in my game. And with that, I notice the talent pool is raised considerably in 2010 compared to 09, as well as a bit better depth.
