It's bizarre to think there might not be an NHL next season. I wonder what Channel 5 will show...

Some of the players who have signed up temporarily could make this league worth watching, but it only has 7 teams. And it doesnt have The Stanley Cup which is the real reason these guys play (although the current CBA rubbish makes me wonder

)
As for C5, I think the stoppage would give them a good excuse to scrap their NHL coverage. NHL already gets rubbish coverage compared to baseball & NFL. How often have you seen MLB & NFL games get moved to a 2.30am tape delay, even during playoffs C5 do this :evil: I'm just glad for NASN, without it I'd be tearing my hair out most of the time!

We don't have Sky, hence no NASN
If I couldn't watch a game every week or so I don't know what I'd do

Sorry to up a totally random thread, but read what Petrie said. That's so true.

Yeah, annoyingly insightful. I think they've ditched their NFL coverage as well since then

The problem is that American sports are such a minority interest in the UK. I've always like how Channel Five have basically shown the rubbish that other channels don't show. It's a real shame that they've reduced their coverage of foreign sports.
