EHM The Blue Line

I searched the forum for topics like this and didn't find any...

I had a weird experience twice in my current season. I'm GMing the Sarnia Sting of the OHL and was randomly offered the GM job with the Quebec Remparts of the QMJHL. I wasn't interested, so I clicked the "reject" button... and was promptly welcomed to the Remparts. I rejected the offer, but the game switched me over anyway. Luckily I had saved a couple of days previously (in game), so I could reverse the forced job change. Rejecting the Remparts the second time worked. However, I was then offered the job of running Canada's U20 team, which I accepted... and then got a message saying I'd rejected the job offer.

Anyone else come across this?

I seem to recall somebody mentioning this happening once before. I can't remember if it was here or the official SI boards. I remember that it was a rare glitch but I can't remember if there was anything you could do about it other than what you did (reloading from a previous save). Are you running version 3.0.4?

It was a trade function bug in the first version. Never heard of the buttons doing the reverse in the job application function. But I have never had that function on.

This was a bug in (I believe) the 3.0.3 patch or maybe the 3.0.4 early release. The last version of 3.0.4 should clear it up.

I think I was the one that got this bug when I was rejecting a job, but still I accepted it according to the game. I think it was on 3.0.3 but it got fixed in later updates. That was years ago it happened to me, I can try and see if I can find that post.

I tried it again and it seems to only happen when I use the accept/reject buttons directly in the news story. If I hit the "respond" button and accept/reject there, everything works fine. I am running on the most recent patch.

Yeah, that was how I could reject as well after a while.
