"Wants a new challenge"

Im in the year 2020, using lidas latest roster update, and three of my star players requested being put on the trading block because they "Want a new challenge"

Anybody else run in to this??? All three players (one goalie, a LW and C) I drafted myself and have played several years for my team.

Just found it strange/frustrating that three players (star players, at that) in one year wanted to be moved because of this.

Yeah it has happened to me. I had a regen in my Nucks career in Lidas 1.3 who was lighting up the league...asked to be moved. I held off for over a year. He still played well, and finally I dealt him away. He has done just as well with his new team and is happy again.

Yeah my goalie was my Hasek regen, my center was my Sundin regen, and idk about the LW (another swede) but they were all tearing it up.... now I have to start over again basically

Hey, now that I think, it happened with Brewer after he won the Lady Byng and Selke trophy. Oh, well, then he went from 8.72 to 6.67 per season.

Happened to me with Nicklas Bäckström on the Caps. No point keeping someone in the team, who doesn't want to stay there. :dunno:

Yeah I agree.

Ive seen this happen with players before, but not THREE in one season. Star players at that.

Oh well must be my luck!!

It happened to me. My #2 centre after Tavares, I was just waiting for JT to retire so he could take over the #1 job. This guy was a complete Mcguirean monster, physical, highly skilled, very good defensively, consistent, etc. He was rated #5 by the ISS but for some reason slipped to 20th where I drafted him. Basically, my team had been quite successfaul (9 Cup wins in 15 or so years). He actually requested a trade over the summer but I went on holiday hoping he could sit on it. THe thing was he was due to become a UFA so I had no choice but to trade him. I got a good centre and a second rounder for him but its a clear downgrade.

I had two requests in one month. One by my last years #1 and now #2 center, who i drafted and made an allstar. I then traded him for a great young talent. :joy:
And now Mr. Landeskog wants an new challenge, too. I use him mostly for the 3-4 fourth line and pk now.
The problem i have, is that he has a no-trade clause and every trade i arrange gets cancel due to this clause. :dunno:
He has two more years in contract. In the information screen, i can see many interested teams and it also says " Is hoping to impress the visiting scouts " " Wants an new challenge " . But i have no clue to which team he is willing to go.
Anyone else, beside Mr. Howson, had this kind of problem ???

So weird, this actually happened to me for the first time today. Drafted a guy 1st overall in the 2014 draft "Yakov Tuljakov." He struggled for a few years, but I was patient and it paid off. He's a regular 50-60 point defenceman. My team is top of the conference atm (and has been a serious contender the last 5 years or so) and his agent just told me he "wants a new challenge."

Was thinking of dealing him... but he's on the last year of his contract and I want a cup before team captain Paul Stastny retires... HE DESERVES IT! Passed the deadline now, so here's hoping he'll stick around.

A lot of times these players have a very high ambition rating, so no matter how many cups you win with them they will always want a bigger and harder challenge. He'll tough it out with you- good luck winning that cup!
