EHM The Blue Line

It's now time for our sixth racing season here on TBL, we will once again use Batracer. Time to vote for series once again.

Here are the series with least number of competitors which we may aim for:

German Tourers (DTM) 10 competitors, individual teams.
GP 2010 (F1 2010) 10 competitors, two users per team.
V8S (V8 Supercars), 8 competitors, we can use both two users per team and individual teams. This series is very long in playing time (more than 40 days, the other series got a little more than 30 days.).
Mid-Engined World Series, minimum of 8 competitors, two users per team.

We had an issue with people stopping to play halfway into the season in the last challenge. That's why I voted for the DTM now because of the single car teams. But I have to admit it's much more fun to have a teammate in the boat.

I voted BTCC, can't wait for this. Hope I get my usual team mate

I won't participate in this one. I am too tired of this game :-/. Ever since they had the Ferrari issues and Adam Oates.

Wow, I think we've never had this little interest in a racing season like this. We are not even close to get the qouta of minimum 8 players filled.

I could join, but I need to know some more about this BatRacer. How we're gonna race? Is this management or driving game? Are we gonna race like in Rally, one car at a time?

Basically all you do is to setup your car (e.g. suspension and tyres) and then you setup your driving style (like pace and aggression, you can put in values from 0 to 100 here) and then once in a day the game simulates a qualifying or a race. You cannot watch it live, but you can see the results and watch the race lap by lap after it was simulated. So you don't see cars driving around. It's just like EHM, you can watch a replay after the simulation and see what happened to your car every lap.

I'm in. I figured I'd give this a try and see how it works. Anyone mind if a newbie like me joins in?

I suggest that we do so that more experienced Batracers, like me and selne, team up with newbies.

Great, then we're 8 players right now. I will also notice another TBL guy on Batracer that isn't in our clan.

I created an account earlier so I would be ready to join, in other words I'm not in the clan but I can join.

Will I be able to join the season? I'm not at all familiar with the game mechanics yet so I have to ask . . .

Sure you are welcome to join!

The most important thing about batracer is to make practise/warmup laps every single day so that you and your teammate will have the best possible setup for the races. Race strategy, driving style and qualifying strategy come with experience. When you create an account you can join three games: one public game, one private game and one mid season game. We'll play a private game together, so you could join a public or a mid season game already before we start to find out more about the game.

I have some happy news, we now got 10 players who wants to join this season!

It opens up some carsets where the minimum players is 10.

Another thing is that since this poll started Batracer has added GP2010, which is based on the 2010 F1 season. Do you guys think I should reset the poll and start a new poll?

I don't think Gibson will join, he lost his interest in Batracer after Scuderia-gate.
