I am an addicted EHM 2007 editor. I make transfers and trades everyday of the season, and have made so since this game came out.

If anyone is intrested in this database just keep in touch, and give me your e:mail or add me on MSN and we can work it out.

I also have player pictures, non-player pictures, logos & bakgrounds. If you are searching for someone special just ask me, we can work it out.

So here it is; My personal edition of a EHM 2007 database..

http://www.filefront.com/16488897/datab ... _M_Ace.rar

Please come back with feedback both negative and positive. And if there is a interest I will upload further editions.

Enjoy!

So, now to the things I've done;

I tried to make a list of the things I have done in EHM 2007, but it's hard when you are editing almost every day;

* Updated transfers on daily basis since the game came out.

* Salary and contract length on NHL signed players made after capgeek.com

* The salary cap in NHL is sat to a bit over 70 million dollar because the game doesn't allow you to dump contracts in
the minors and if the cap isn't this high the AI does so NHL teams to dump many players.

* Expanded AHL (Oklahoma, Lake Erie, Charlotte, Rockford) and WHL (Edmonton Oil Kings)

* ECHL has some defunct teams do to there are to many teams in the ECHL in the game than IRL.

* UHL is a league with most fantasy teams used to have when making own expansion drafts. Don't even look there;).
The Salary Cap in UHL is gone to.

* Made a new IHL league based on there are a lot fewer teams there than in the old UHL.

* Made a new KHL league with all four divisions and used the old Russian Hockey League as a fantasy league with old
AHL teams with players who have played in the diffrent teams.

* Swedish J20 SuperElite & Swedish J18 Elite created

* Made an NHL Retro league with old NHL teams and retro versions on existing teams. Named two conferences in the
the retro league Campbell and Prince of Wales as they used to be called. Also made many classic players to put in
those teams.

* Made ACHL with retro/defunct CHL/ECHL/UHL/IHL Teams.

* Made I-AHL with defunct/retro AHL/IHL Teams.

* Drafts made 2007-2009 in NHL Entry/CHL Import/WHL Bantam/OHL Priority/KHL Draft/QMJHL Selection draft.
Has started doing the WHL Draft and OHL Draft 2010, they will be done in a couple of days
Made some of the draftpicks in the USHL draft also, but the will not been seen in the game, only in the editor.
Draftpicks rights in the NHL also changed after real life

* Made a fantasy European Hockey League with invalid former European teams

* Made a Fantasy Junior Hockey League with former junior teams North Americans and Europeans.

* There are duplicates of some staff based on if they have 2 diffrent jobs.

* If a player is drafted twice in the NHL Entry Draft (Jarret Stoll, Matt Lombardi etc.) there are two copies of him just to
make sure both drafts will be seen in the game.
Altough the "unreal" player is made as Man. dir. or Chairman so none can sign the duplicate.

* Stats on the players updated till atleast the end of the 2008/2009 season. Some are even updated until this season
2009/2010. Season 2005/2006 in the games is the 2008/2009 season or 2009/2010 seson due to seasons.

* Scheme over player abilities, based on which league the player are playing in:

NHL Regular players: 130 --->
AHL:: 90-130
ECHL: 50-90
SEL/DEL/Finnish SM-League: 90-130
KHL: 100 --->
WHL/QMJHL/WHL: 50-90 (Top ranked players in NHL scouting can be higher ex. Seguin, Hall, Fowler etc.)
USHL: 45-70
BCHL: 40-60
Midget ---> 50
NCAA: 50-90

- Players selected in the NHL entry draft but not yet to sign a pro-contract has -15 in potential ability.

* Over 10000 players/non-players made.

* I hate when NHL teams signs unknown FA's just to kick them, the day after, by the way AI are alredy firing excisting
players like hell. SO I created two leagues NA FA's and Euro FA's in those leagues I created many Free Agent list
teams. In those teams I put players who are UFA's or retired and thoes who not belongs in a retro team.

* New Arenas

* New Cities

* ISS Final scouting listed players made with a potential ability of -10 or -15 all depending on how ranked he is ranked.

Thoughts?

:shock: Sounds unbelievable :-k

That's a lot of work...

1) How do you combine retro leagues with the real ones in one db? Can you share it?

2) Do you update player attributes?

3) Do you test your db? Are the results close to reality? How far did you go in the game?

4) What db it is based on? The original one that came with the game?

That was a lot of questions :-D

1/ The "fantasy" leagues is almost only custom leagues I made from scratch. The only playable is RSL which is Old American Hockey League for me and there I have put old AHL clubs due to it's cool to play a league with ex. Cape Breton Oilers and have busts like Jason Bonsignore and Nick Stajduhar in the line-up. I have given the retro players a reputation only high as 130 as most because with that rep NHL clubs will not sign any players from the leagues. So to answer your question is that I have build it together if you know what I mean; there is fantasy stuff in the middle of all the serious stuff. And of course it is the serious stuff that I privilage though.

2/ Yes I update attributes; I have a scheme over player abilities, based on which league the player are playing in:

NHL Regular players: 130 --->
AHL:: 90-130
ECHL: 50-90
SEL/DEL/Finnish SM-League: 90-130
KHL: 100 --->
WHL/QMJHL/WHL: 50-90 (Top ranked players in NHL scouting can be higher ex. Seguin, Hall, Fowler etc.)
USHL: 45-70
BCHL: 40-60
Midget ---> 50
NCAA: 50-90

This is what I follow. For me it all depends on wich level you play

3/ I have a friend testing now, his in the third season and this far I can tell you it is very real. So real that the first season only players that are on the edge to NHL gets availible or gets waivred. Ex. Alex Giroux, Keith Aucoin, Anders Eriksson etc. The only exeption is John Madden in Chicago who is always availible due to financial reasons. But I rather have him availible than Toews or Seabrook which has been availible before I took a real close on the abilities and attributes.

4/ I have completly changed the original database. I started first thing when I bought in sept. 06 from Swedish Allsvenskan, yes I have the CD-Rom version;)

Hope you like the answers!!

Keep in touch if you want a copy:) or how do I do to share it?I rather not do this yet, still have the OHL and WHL draft 2010 to.

I have not a clue if it's made like Lidas. When I heard about Lidas database perhaps 2 weeks ago 8-) I had already edited so much that I never had a thought to use it. AND I rather use my own "thing" because that's the only way to get it as you want 8-). But I can tell you that my database is up to date as of today. Of course there are things I haven't made yet, such as many of the european leagues and midget leagues in NA. But I'm on my way. I have made all the publiced transactions on Eurohockey.net and on Eliteprospects.com, I'm doing them every day. The thing is EHM editing is a thing that never ends ](*,). But yet I'm still going strong.

I have to finish the WHL and the OHL draft 2010. I'm at the beginning of the 5th round in the OHL draft and have the WHL draft to do. Think they will be done by the end of the week.

Wow, I'd really like to know if adding all that stuff actually works in the long run. Adding stuff to the DB usually screws it up and there's no way to play it for more than a couple of years.

As said before as of a bit in October 2008 the game is still running. The only dilemma so far was when my comprade tried to sign Mario Lemieux as a Ass Gm from Pens Retro in October 2008. When he should take confirm on the signing the game crashed eventually. BUT he had saved a day before that so he just gave a darn about signing Super- Mario and the continues as if it never had happen. Maybe take it as a sign that retired retro players are in the retro leagues to stay :-D

But who knows maybe the game will crash again. :dunno:

I doubt though. If you give a darn in the playable leagues it will be good. Creating players and unplayable leagues shold not do any harm. :-k

This sounds like a great project, with maybe the same amount of time spent as I have on my DB.

It will be great with another DB to choose to play around with, although Im a bit sceptic to mixing fantasy rosters, retro rosters, and real rosters in the same DB, but Im sure some users out there will love it.

Id love to see the graphical work you have done.

keep up the good work! :thup:

Expanded AHL (Oklahoma, Lake Erie, Charlotte, Rockford) and WHL (Edmonton Oil Kings)
I love this. However I have never heard of anyone having the ability to stretch the size of playable leagues past what they are in the game. Care to share how you managed to do this? If it is stable and you have managed..this could be huge for the future of the game.

It isn't stable, though. I can load the game and sometimes it works fine until the second season, BUT it is only a matter of time before it crashes. SO to get around it I created a custom AHL, named American Hockey League (notice the 2 blanksteps) and before I start a season I simply put 3 AHL teams there after my own choise of cource depending on which team in the NHL I will manage. Now their stats and the players will be updated just as the real AHL:). You can't face them though, but I usually arange friendlies during the season against them with my AHL team just to make it more real:).

I do the same with ONE WHL team, (I Have made an custom WHL to)

EHM's leagues are hard-coded to a particular structure, and can't be changed. This explains the instability and crashing.

My friend, my friend. I know, I know, I know. Just so you should understand how much time I'm giving this game; Lidas have a whole TEAM that helps him, I'm doing almost MORE and all by myself. And as I said, If you are a gambler sometimes you can play 2-3 seasons without a crash and have to many teams in the AHL and the WHL.

Hey man, so far from looking at the rosters, the ages of players look off. Perhaps Aging players by 3 years would be best. And that could also get working Cards for the players as well. Just a thought :)

As said before. I use the editor 1.6 to aging players by 4 years before I start a new game.

It is much easier to edit when you have the original age on the players. That's my opinion though. :dunno:

You know you can with one click change birthyear on the whole stafflist with the editor 1.6? :-k

...and now to the positive feedback; ;)

Positive feedback: He has the latest updates in his rosters. Jussi Rynnas has be signed to the leafs. I am excited to test these rosters out, just as soon as I am done watching Big Bang Theory and house :P

PS. Where can I get this 1.6 editor?

I don't think that's a fair statement. Lidas is doing most of the editing (with an assist from Manimal) on his database. The team that helps him are people who do research on various leagues that they would like to see kept up to date beyond the big North American ones. I see no need for you to belittle his work. He's consistently produced updated rosters for quite a while now and is a huge part of the reason why there are still people playing EHM.

Im so very sorry! :doh:

I had just woke up this morning when I read the post, and I was still really tired.

And I'm sure Lidas is a legend in the EHM world. It was a rumour from a friend that he has a whole team helping him out. :-k

I wanted to tell you that you CAN play the game with more teams in the North American playable leagues than allowed. It is just that it will eventually crash. You never know when; 1 month in, 1 season in or 2 seasons in. It is just a matter of time. I am very stubborn so I have tried many times :-D

Ones again I'm very sorry!

Didn't mean to hurt anyone :oops:
