We all tried it, the team is going well and you are on the way to the cup with the spirit being high in generel, but then unexplainable total collapse happens and you are left to wonder what went wrong.
Kinda like Shocker at staples center, with the kings pulling 3 goals back to even the score within the last 6 mins being down 2-0 in games vs the Red Wings. Then proceed to win it in OT and the 3 next games as well :D.
Remember watching game 1 of the series and how badly the kings got outplayed, then during game 3 canal + was transmitting another game at the time, but highlight from came fast and furies as the kings started their legendary come back, rarely have I laughed so hard as to when they equalized.
Point being I want you to gimme your most embarrasing/strange/funny breakdowns ever ala Red Wings 2001, ill start off hehe.
That sort of situation happened to me in an old game with the Capitals, must have been season 6 or 7 in the old no cap version EHM 2005.
It is the game 4 in the Stanley cup finals and my team the Capitals is leading the series 3-0 and are on the brink of a franchise first cup (and personal first too), being up 4-2 with 2 minuts to go in regulation and the promised land of the cup glory seems imminent. That was untill the coyotes pulled 2 fast goals to draw and force overtime, no big deal I thought when they scored in overtime as well to reduce to 3-1 in games. Ill settle this at home thats kinda cool right?, well it would have been if I hadnt been demolished in the last 3 games as well.
Strange part is I had dominated the entire season including playoffs and had very few losses untill that occurred, ofc I was widdled and almost broke my keybord, but looking back it was kinda funny in a tragic way hehe.
It helped ease my pain, that I for the first and only time went 16-0 in the playoffs next season, winning my first of 5 cups (3 straigth)in 16 seasons.

My Hershey AHL affiliate in my Washington Challenge game pulled off a pretty darn impressive collapse come playoff time. They won one game. This after going 67-8-5, scoring the most goals in the league while also allowing the least goals in the league.

While not as bad as some of the stories posted above,I think this was a pretty bad collapse...

Mr Vyborny plays the best 15 minutes of hockey ever recorded.
