I could be wrong, but I beilive you get that error when you patched your game, but the main .exe wasn't updated.

Try re-installing the patch.

Have you installed any of the database updates like the Unfaking or Smetana rosters? If it is a matter of the game tripping up on Affiliations I would guess that that could be the source of the problem.

Any other add ons are just graphics changes in essence so the only real problems that they may cause are things not displaying correctly or not getting a certain project to show itself in your game.

If it isn't the patching problem mentioned above try starting from the game's default database; if you didn't save a copy of the default database you may have to reinstall.

yes, i installed the Smetana Rosters 2.0, which also brings up a question, i can only install one data base correct?

you say its a patch problem, what is the newest version?

Latest patch is 2.1.2. If you're not running the latest patch then I doubt the roster update will work. Yes, you can only install one database at a time; if you want to swap then you'll have to download the database you want and put the files in the appropriate place and then start a new game.

If do have version 2.1.2 and are still having problems then I suggest you try sending a PM to Kidhander (LINK)

I'm gonna move this thread over to the General EHM Chat Forum because this doesn't really belong in the Announcements and Site Feedback Forum :)

I've been getting that very same message a couple of times as well. But I'll just reload the save and it allows me to keep playing. :)

Hey everybody:

I am a new to the EHM world, but so far am loving it! Since I've learned about the new roster updates etc. including salary cap, I can't imagine not playing that way, but I am having trouble installing the patches.

For example, with patch 414 (2.1.2) I believe ... I downloaded it, ran the program and it said it installed 36 new files.

From there, I went to start a NEW GAME, and immediately like 20 "errors" came up, so naturally, lol, I clicked OK for each of them.

Within a day of my new career (Sep. 2), this error relating to "Affiliation" came up, I went to click OK but it would not go away, I cannot get past this point.

Help would be greatly appreciated! I would love to get playing this game!!!

Hey, thanks for the quick response ...

There has to be something I'm NOT doing.

On several occasions now I've reinstalled the game and then reinstalled the patch. However, NOW, I have this other patch just called "database" that I downloaded and that is the only one it will allow me to download b/c it says it is the newest one.

The error that keeps coming up on my computer and my roommates is: "v2.0 affiliation_manager.cpp 1282"

If anyone knows anything, please help.

Sounds like a database problem. Try using the default database. :dunno:

Just guessing here.

mini_league error?

Hey guys...I am one of the members of the EHM 05 online league NBHL. We have expirienced a possibly fatal error, and need to know if anyone here could have any ideas how to fix it.

When we load up our save game we get an error v2.1.3 mini_league.cpp 140

We can still play the game, like normal, but when we attempt to save the game we get a Windows error and the game crashes.

We think it has something to do with some exhibition tournaments that have been scheduled for offseason, but the crash still happens even after the tournaments are done.

We are fresh out of ideas, so if anyone has any ideas just throw em at us, we will try anything.

It may sound stupid but have you tried to save it under a different name? Let it create a new save file.

:dunno:

And nobody has done any editing to the game? Usually when I see those ".cpp" errors it's either due to a corrupt game or an issue with editing a saved game or DB.

Well the database was fully redone when we started the league, lidas style rerated everyone, so yes at one point it was altered.

The problem we think is the Red Wings scheduled a 4 team tourney, and for some reason it showed up in the Blues schedule instead, but the tourney was done before the season, so its weird that theres a problem in June.

Uggh! That doesn't sound good. I don't know what you could do to fix that. Sorry.

lol guess its time to beg Mr. Riz for his help :P

The league is amazingly strong, and active...and with the way the online community seems to be fading, we fear if we can't save the league taht we will probably lose EHM online....hopefully he can help us!
