Possible to stop computer trading certain players?

I have a bit of a pet peve, and I hate what I deem to be stupid trades.
Now, while the trade may not be stupid on a "well it makes sense" basis, it is just something I don't like and wish it wouldn't happen.
A good example is the Vancouver Canuck's trading one of the Sedin's away. Actually, thats the basis of this whole thing in reality as (maybe its dumb) I just hate when certain players get traded. The Red Wings seem to almost always desimate their core group of guys, trading away some combination of Datsyuk, Kronwall, Zetterberg, Franzen, ext in their first season.
Is there any way to have veto-power over deals? Or add No-Trade clauses pre game? I do have the editor and it doenst appar possible. I also did a search about No Trades and it came up nadda with most citing no way to do it.
So is there another way to possibly entice teams further not to trade players? I've tried making certain players favored staff and that appears to have no effect. I've even tried to do it the other way around (favorite time) and then setting their contract to one year so I can take over several teams at the beginning of the game (only to retire shortly after) and attempt to sign them to long-term no trade deals, but that tends not to work either.
Is their anything I can do?

Had similiar problems of Crosby/Sedins/Ovechkin etc being traded. What I do to make things like that less likely is use the editor to increase players' loyalty and make their coach, GM, owner, club like them as favourite staff and vice versa. Eg- set the Sedins to 20 loyalty, favour Mike Gillis, Vancouver Canucks and set Mike Gillis to like them both, and Vancouver Canucks to like them. Helps a lot I think from experience. As for NTCs I think the game is hardcoded to only recognise them if certain things are met at start of game - loyalty has to be over 15/16 if I remember correctly, salary has to be over something like 4 or 5 million $, and player has to be over 30 or so. Again, I might have forgotten the specifics there, but it's something like that as I recall. Generally though, I found making GMs/coaches/clubs and the players favoured staff of each other made it much harder to acquire them in trades and more likely for them to stay on one team for their career/most of it.
EDIT - apparently you've already tried the favoured staff thing to no success

seemed to work for me!

will bump up loyalty. I only did favoured staff and teams, never had the players and GM's connected.
I hope loyalty will do the trick.
Thanks! but any other suggestions still wide open.

Another way is to add future transfer for a player. Then AI doesn't trade or negiotate contracts for players.. they can still place players on waivers.
ex. edit Sedin contract to end when he is around 40 years old and create future transfer to MoDo like in year 2050.
You can remove future transfer in game by adding human GM to MoDo and cancel trade.

thanks! question thought, so what would it look like?
# "FUTURE_TRANSFER" "first name "second name" "current team name" "new team name" date fee wage contract_length
"FUTURE_TRANSFER" "Henrik "Sedin" "Vancouver Canucks" "MoDo" then? date fee wage contract_length

The one below. The "#" mark makes the database to ignore it.

You can use the pre-game editor to do this I believe.
