the B's "only" lost Thornton...what should i say to my Devils???

Lost Leading Scorer with Elias. (till now)
Lost my best two D-Man, Stevens and Niedermeyer.
Lost Coaches Burns and Robinson.
...and now Mogilny was placed on Waivers. Holy Adam Oates, Lou dump some cashing D-Man for the salary cap but not the 3rd best scorer on a low scoring team.

whats next??? trade brodeur to philly???

I have to admit I couldn't f'n believe they waived Moginly...

But Elias has looked nothing short of awesome since returning. We haven't had anyone to lose for around a decade so I don't have to worry about such things with my Hawks... anyhow, it's just a good thing Archi doesn't check the frontpage more often.

I have NO idea in the slightest what you could possibly mean. If I did though I'd say it's lasted 24+ hours longer than I thought it would.

Sounds like Devils fans have it worse than me, though.

As a former Leaf fan, I have to say, I wouldn't miss Mogilny if he never played in the NHL again.

But Arch they're so pretty... The Joe Thornton Traded Update is some of my best work really:

I wouldn't worry about that, to me it looks like they're dumping some big money for a BIG trade. By the looks of it, they're targeting some 5M+ guy, unless Lamoriello's given up and is already thinking about next summer's UFA market, which I seriously doubt considering they're still in somewhat good position to get in the playoffs.

I haven't seen it yet since I turned the game on late but in Thortnon's first game against the Bruins tonight he's already been thrown out of the game due to a checking from behind major with the game misconduct being given for intent to injure. Must have been around the 5 minute mark of the game...

EDIT: Joe hit Hal Gill into the corner boards, but I think it was one of those things that the player being hit just turned at the last moment the wrong way. He did appear to suffer a pretty serious shoulder injury though. This wasn't a vicious incident I don't think, not like some I've seen... I think it was mainly circumstance and emotion of the game that swayed the ref to bounce him from the game to make sure nothing else happened and it spiraled out of control
