So I was thinking it would be amazing if there was a way to port EHM to the iPad... what do you guys think? Possible or just a dream?

If it doesn't already work, it's unfortunately just a dream. Because, making it work would most likely require hacking of the EXE. Not only is that probably against the game's end user license, but it's highly frowned upon here at TBL.
You could always write your own game, though. If that's what you mean, then I say go for it. That's certainly possible

great idea nonetheless- there's this ipad hockey game that i tried out in stockholm and the entire time i was thinking how phenomenal a hockey manager game would be on that platform.
A blackberry or iphone game would also be legit

I suppose the only possibility would be for a Windows operating system to be ported to the iPad, thus enabling you to run any Windows software you like (subject to the iPad's hardware limitations). I can't imagine Microsoft ever wishing to port Windows to an Apple product though!!!
Another alternative might be if Linux were to be ported to the iPad (thereby enabling you to run
Wine). Try Googling
install linux on ipad if you're feeling brave. You'd also want to check out the legality of this - I am not sure how legit this is (although I believe there was a recent court ruling stating that jailbreaking, etc an iPhone is perfectly legal).
Anyway, if you can get Wine installed on a device then you'll most likely be able to run EHM 2007. I have managed to run EHM 2007 in Linux using WINE-based software and I believe B.Stinson managed it with WINE itself -
see here.
As Brian rightly points out - any tampering/hacking of EHM's EXE or other code is against the EULA and is protected by various copyright laws throughout the world.

I've read that a couple PC companies are making their own tablets to compete with the iPad. I don't know if they're going to run Windows or not but I would think that if they do run Windows, they'd have a better chance at running EHM.
