Viewing Team Report Problem

New to the forums here so i feel i must say it is a pleasure to be here.

I have played several season's, mostly from the GM position, and letting the team be auto coached... i am wondering how many of you do this, or micromanage all the way down. Also, as my topic states, i am having a problem with the patches and the unfake database here on the blueline viewing my team report. It just isn't able to open up during the first few months of the season. Is this normal? Whats the deal?

Thanks all.

You can only do that if you have an assistant GM.

First of all welcome to TBL! =D>

Borlag is correct, the team report is generated by your assistant GM so if you don't have one the option is not available. My guess as to why it wouldn't happen in the first few months could be that the team eventually hires one on if you have the game on vacation mode at some point?

Thanks to both of you. I didn't know that. I had promoted my top scout in one of my other seasons and that is when it became available, but i didn't realize that it was because i now had an Ass. GM. I bought the game via sigames.com, so i have no real manual and have sort of been figuring things out as i go.

My other question does still stand however, am i really a big wuss for concentrating solely on scouting and trades and other GM activities. Am i missing out on a lot of fun by coaching the games yourself and handling practice? or is that mostly computer induced stress?

Unless you have a really good head coach (16+ in basically every stat) then you'll probably get alot more sucsess picking your own tactics and running practice yourself.

Really it's up to you; everyone approaches the game differently. If that's how you want to play it then do it :-) I think the game in general is more rewarding the more involved wth the team you are.

Practice is a farily easy thing to sort out (there's plenty of detail on that in the Guide) and I think it benefits your team quite a bit.

As for coaching your own games you can do that in a lot of ways too. You can set yourself to coach games and set the clock speed to 'fast', the highlights to 'none' and the commentary to 'very fast' and the game will pretty much go five minutes at a time. It will pause between periods for you to check how things are going and make changes if you want. Especially to check if someone has had their health fall due to a 'potential' injury or if someone has tired due to poor conditioning. You can then adjust your lineup accordingly. That doesn't much time for the potential good to your team and it's success.

So those are a couple of things that aren't real tough to learn that can make a difference if you're interested. But part of the fun of EHM is playing it the way you want to play it. If you have any questions the Guide doesn't answer someone can certainly help you out, just ask.
