It was for an international body, in connection with the Olypics, not for the NHL though so he should escape problems but who knows what all of this will lead to... here's a link to Bob McKenzie's most recent article on the topic:

Suddenly all the sympathy I had for him, when he suffered his almost carreer ending eye injury is gone. Lets just hope this isnt a sign of things to come in the Nhl.

If you test any 700 people your gonna find a very high percent have taken substances that are banned from the olympics, the fact that only one hockey player going to the olympics has been tested postive for a banned substance is a pretty good indication that the NHL is free of steroids.

Yeah, I think the olympics has the most strict drug test. Cold medicine is off limits to them...

He's been officially given a two year ban from international play which really doesn't amount to much for a guy not on this year's Olympic squad anyway

But yeah, I agree the numbers of players that have been tested to those cited is microscopic in comparison. We'll see though as the first round of NHL testing results come back next week I believe it is.

Considering how few and far between positive tests for hockey players are (read: next to never), I can't wait for the test results to come in and put Dick Pound in his place. The man has a lot of nerve to publically announce that 2/3 of NHL players would test positive for steroids.
