Team TBL 2005 starts right now!
Screenshots of everyone's profiles can be found here:
LINK. Let me know if I've missed anyone out and I'll upload their profile.
I won't be choosing the lineups or tactics myself, nor will I be controlling the team during matches. This will all be done by our head coach: Wayne Gretzky

It was a good call by Minstrel that we replace the Coyotes
This season our board expects us to reach the Playoffs. Fingers crossed we do!
Training camp saw Keithv, Kidhander, Octavian, Blackcats101 and Fifafan perform particularly well.
Here's a brief run-down of the five exhibition games we played:
Cls 2 - 6 TBL
TBL 5 - 1 La
TBL 2 - 6 Pit
TBL 6 - 2 Chi
TBL 5 - 2 Stl
Some pretty good results there; especially against the Blues. Good to see we gave Minstrel's Hawks a thrashing too!

The Pens game was a little worrying but it appeared to be a small blip. Eitherway, it's the regular season games that matter.
Here's the player stats after all of the exhibition games:
Coming up: The first two games of the regular season - a tour of the West coast with games @ LA and the Oilers...

6th Oct: TBL 2 @ 5 Edm
Yet again, our special teams let us down; we conceeded 1 SHG and 3 PPGs

It's shame as we were two goals up after four minutes. Systemfel did well, getting two assists.
Some injury news:
Fifafan is out on a day-to-day with a thigh injury (sustained during practice)
Minstrel is out for two weeks with a groin strain (Edmonton game)
Tomorrow there will be some more games as well as a schedule so we can nominate game of the month (aka GOTM). I'd appreciate feedback on whether I'm posting the results in the best way or whether another way would be better.

Hey, why am I wearing number 17? Gimme 44, please.
Great work, Arch!

Also, I'd be very good if you could post screenshots of the players' full stats in the game: like the icetime and all.

Tough luck to those guys injured...gives me more ice time though...

Seems I got on the bad side of Mr. Gretzky.
Anyone need some water?

Then we'll be releasing it along with Minty's fabtabulous jersey and the Team TBL database at some point in the future

Who is on each line?
Does Wayne keep the same lines each game or does he move things round a bit?

I love this! But how come I'm still Italian, and my surname is "Zetternan"?

Oh, I misspelled it from the beginning! Strange I havn't noticed until now...

This is why:
I was a little confused why a Swede wanted to be Italian but I just guess you moved to Stockholm or something. I can correct your username on the Forums if you like (it will of course correct your login name too).

Ahh, I just saw that you later posted a correction later on about your nationality. I'm really sorry, I missed that one

I did see your post about your number change - I'm pretty sure I did that.
When I post the database on TBL, remind me to change your name and nationality.

11th Oct: TBL 4 @ 1 Stl
Hooray! Our first win! Octavian was the first star with two goals and an assist. I was second star with a goal and an assist. Systemfel also accumulated another point.
That was our final game on our West coast road trip.
Fifafan is back from injury and Minty is on the road to recovery.

13th Oct: Was 6 @ 4 TBL
A rather unlucky result, with us conceeding two goals in the final half of the third period. Kidhander, Systemfel and Blackcats101 all got two points each. Hluraven appears to be our star defenceman, playing the most ice time in most of our games.
Tasku was injured in the game with a twisted kneee. He'll be out for around ten days.
To answer Calv: Gretzky chooses the lineup and tactics every game so the lineups and tactics will change occassionally.

Here's the schedule for October and November. There won't be a Game of the Month for October but there will be for November. Who does everyone want for November's GOTM?

Unbeliveable.

The one thing bothering me about the screenies; I by instint am drawn to click the 'Back' button at the bottom of the 'cap to go to the next screenshot

Think we've all probably hit that Back button in our game a thousnad times by now... I know it's just a
picture of the back button but I just can't help myself

It's like one of those 'reality nightmares' where you had a big meeting that day at 8am and you wake up, look at your alarm and see 10:45am.
Enough of my pschosis though... I say we send the full TBL media crew to follow the team along their home-and-home with Vancouver for GOTM.

Not the start we wanted, but good to get the first win. For GOTM, I go with the Hawks just because we should win

What a bad performance by myself....
Especially after that preseason ... 7 points in 5 games ...
and now.....not a single point so far .... I don't even shoot once
But....i shouldn't complain.... I'm german .... and I'm playing third line center on a NHL team ...
But still a bad performance....
BTW: great work archibalduk

Before I start posting today's updates, I have to showcase Minty's TBL graphics for EHM. To put it lightly, they're rather impressive. The screenshot below shows his skin, large logo (in the titlebar) and his jersey icon

:
Here's his small logo:
You'll see the rink he's designed in the screenshots I post for our home games...
