When do you Continue?

Perhaps one of the most "newbie" questions ever:

When do you decide to continue to the next day?

With so many options and things to do in game, do you just finish everything you can in one day and then continue? Or do you continue more frequently?

I've just started a game, and I've assigned scouts, set lines, tactics, put out offers, etc, and have simmed one day. Now it feels like I have nothing to do. Is this common?

How do you play?

You do most things in the first day, you have done them pretty well so you can just continue till the offers you did start kicking in.

Just keep clicking until you get something else to do. Do what you can, then wait and see. :dunno:

Pretty much do things the same way. The first day of a career is the busiest. I tend to set up my scouting, offer contracts to free agents, offer contracts to my pending free agents, offer contracts to new coaches/scouts/trainers, schedule my preseason games, set up my practice schedule, and scout my players/prospects. My first day generally takes me about an hour to complete, but after that it is clean sailing.

First thing I usually do is fire my useless scouts -- I'm not going to use them anyway...
After that, I do pretty much the same thing as everyone else here has mentioned.

One thing I do like to do is search for young uncontracted players that other teams may have overlooked. Best to wait until most of your scouting is complete for this one though... You never know when you're going to find that 20-22 year old player that might one day do some damage on the 3rd or 4th line.

Hmm, tough one cause sometimes i dont do Adam Oates and sometimes i'm doing aloooot of stuff.. Well, in the beginning im firering all my scouts (almost everyone) and most of my coaches (cause there's alot better coaches you can sign)

Then im making up different tactics, lets say one offensive then one defensive (I dont use the defensive so much these days cause of my rosters) but it could be useful in a stanley cup final. Then im fixing the personal tactics, decide who is going to be my shooter, passer, aggressive player and so on.. I think thats pretty much it untill the draft and so forth, AND i do change player ALOT.. ;)
