I'm in the process of updating the smilies so you might find that some of them won't work at the moment...

Arch, sorry, but I found that smilies don't work for me here. When I try to click on the ones to the left of the reply box, it just stumble and do nothing. So I can't insert any of them right now, no ideas why can it be so.

Mine is very strange. I can insert smilies if I haven't typed a single letter, but as soon as I type anything, I can't insert smilies. I can workround by clicking the ones I will want, and typing the text in front of it, but it is a bit annoying.

What browser are you guys using?
I just tested the smilies and found that they worked for me.
Do the smilies in the quick reply work?

I hadn't noticed that before, they work in quick reply. I'm using ie for the browser, both at work and at home (same problem at both)

Ok, I'll try with IE later. I use Firefox and haven't noticed the problem with that.
Did the problem always exist or did it just appear one day?

I think it appeared a couple of days after the new smilies, but I may be wrong. It was around then anyway.

There are currently around a hundred smileys in the extended list that opens in a popup window when you click on the 'View more Emoticons' link.
I've actually created some of them and just cleaned up others.
Question: do the non-animated smileys add in to your post when you click on them (like the thumbs up and down)? IE has traditionally been notorious for being hit or miss with animated gifs.
People really should try to use Firefox if they can. Not saying that in the way a certain site has designed to things that will only work well in Firefox because we haven't. I just say that because the amount of problems in general people tend to have with Firefox is substantially less than with IE.
The IE animated problem has been around since IE's creation

IE 7 is coming out soon. I know that gives better support for transparent pngs. Maybe it'll also sort the the smilie problem :s
Otherwise I'll take a look at the troubleshooting on the phpBB forums.

Same with all those smilies, but the quick reply idea works, so it's not too urgent
