Rimouski Oceanic

So I finally got the time to start a new blog so here it is.
My name is Martin Ward, I was recently named GM of the Rimouski Oceanic, my task here is rebuild the team while staying competitive. Were hosting the Memorial cup in 2009, were also coming off a weak season, were expected to have a strong year this year, were ranked as the 4th best team in the Q, we should peak next year which means that we would have about a year to rebuild in time for a good run at the Memorial cup.
The key players on the team are Michael Frolik and Patrice Cormier.
We have a very young team, we have no OA's, 2 19 year old's and 5 18 year old's. We have 6 16 year olds and 8 17 year old's. My plan for the team is this:
Year 1
Get younger, trade players who arent returning for picks/prospects. The season goal is to make the playoffs. We'd also like to draft 2 top euros.
Year 2
Gain experience, trade for 3 top 19 year olds, try to add missing pieces. Advance to the 2nd round of the playoffs.
Year 3
Go for it year, the pieces should be in place, we'll add whatever were missing. The goal, win the Q and the Memorial Cup.
I like to play a fast, uptempo game, I prefer players who have good stickhandling and skating but also those who work hard.
Here is the 2006-2007 Rimouski Oceanic:
Goalies
Nicola Riopel
Maxime Roy-Desruisseaux
Defence
Graham Bona
Mitchell Ward
Samuel Groulx
Jason Caron
Francois Bolduc
Christopher Stevens
Fowards
Maksim Grachev
Michael Frolik
Jordan Caron
Patrice Cormier
Phillipe Cornet
Olivier Fortier
Maxime Tanguay
Marc-Andre Laroche
David Bouchard
Eric Faille
Matt bourdreau
Dave Plante
