shots packed infront of net

I've notice many of my opponent's shots are coming from in close. The shots are packed infront of the net. I was wondering if there's any options in the game that would allow d-men to guard the front of the net? or at least make the shot coming from the outer perimeter.
thx

Try in player instructions for defensemen tell them not to join the rush and also tryturning their backchecking to hard. See how this does. Also maybe get one of your forwards backchecking set to normal so every so often he can track back and help but not too often either.
The pressing and hitting influence may have an effect in that perhaps you are not close them down hard and fast enough.
Also look at the goalie maybe he is set to stay in crease or play the puck. Try the opposite one of that instruction you currently use. Give it a try maybe it will suit your team needs better.

Have your defenseman play more physical, and put on man-to-man defense tactics. Thats the only thing I can think of.
