TBL Rosters - Player Career History - Mistakes, etc

This thread is for reporting any mistakes in relation to player career histories in the Manimal Rosters. Please note that not every player in the database has been updated. A list of leagues is provided below.

There are two general types of mistakes/omissions we are particularly interested in:

1) MISTAKES: Where stats for a player are incorrect.

2) OMISSIONS: Where are player is missing an entry or entries and who is contracted to a team in one of the leagues below.

If you find any mistakes, it would be extremely helpful if you could post the correct stats or a link to a webpage that list the stats. One particular difficulty encountered during research was finding a complete set of goalie stats for playoffs (e.g. hockeydb.com only lists GP, A and PIM).

All players contracted to teams in the following leagues have been updated with 2006/07 - 2010/11 histories:

North America
  • AHL
  • CHL
  • ECHL
  • NHL
  • SPHL
Canada
  • OHL
  • QMJHL
Europe
  • British EIHL
  • Czech Extraliga
  • Finnish SM-Liiga
  • Finnish Mestis
  • German DEL
  • Russian KHL
  • Russian minor leagues (various)
  • Swedish Elitserien

Jeremie Fraser http://www.hockeydb.com/ihdb/stats/pdis ... pid=129698

Thats all I found for now, I'll try to go over all of the CHL (Q,O,W) but right now my eyes are screwed up.

I plan on generating a list of all players without 2006/07+ histories in the database - and this can be filtered by league and team.

Travis Ehrhardt got blanks at team name 07/08 and 08/09, should be Portland Winterhawks, instead of Portland Winter Hawks.

Sean Sullivan got some "0's" in his history. http://www.eliteprospects.com/player.php?player=12051

I'm the GM of the Boston Bruins and it's kind of annoying that the Providence Bruins are in the ECHL instead of the AHL. I can't send down as many players as I want, so i sometimes don't have another chance than closing the game, when i have too many players on my roster and can't send them down, can't trade them immediately or buy them out.
Very suprised to see this pretty big problem hasn't been mentioned here.
But thanks nevertheless to all the people who helped at this huge project! :notworthy:

Same thing with the Ottawa Senators, Binghamton is in the ECHL and second farm team "Elmira" also there.
In the ECHL they are limited to 20 players on roster,AHL is unlimited.
I try to loan my players to other team in AHL or ECHL instead of loosing my players.

This doesn't really belong in this thread, but it's because of the hardcoded league sizes for the AHL. We cannot change the size of the AHL (or any other league for that matter) and so we have to spread the AHL teams across the AHL and the ECHL. IIRC there are spaces for 27 teams in the AHL in EHM but there are currently 30 in real life. I think the way Manimal does it is to "relegate" the bottom three AHL teams from the previous season into the ECHL. If you want Providence in the AHL then switch them with an existing AHL team using the Pre Game Editor. It's annoying we're stuck with these hardcoded limits but there's nothing that can be done about this presently.

Thanks for all of the history mistakes that have been reported so far. Keep 'em coming!

So this is why nobody mentioned it here earlier, i see!
Didn't knew that, i think i can handle this, i've loaned my players to other AHL Clubs. Nevermind then, thanks for the reply! :notworthy:

The Minnesota Wild have many players with plus/minus stats that equal their points in a season.

Nicklas Backstrom of the Wild has 0's listed under the shutout category.

Strange, it lists his shutouts in the editor and in game under totals, his shutouts are there, but not for each individual season where it says 0 for each season, anyone know why that might be. His player info also has his stats.

It seems to be the same with every goaltender (or at least the random sample I checked). I guess we need to compare this with an earlier roster update (without the updated histories) to see whether this issue is also present there. It's looking like a bug with EHM...

I just checked the 1974 db, and the Shutouts are not showing in-game for me either.......I also noticed "First Star" and "Shots Against" and they had data there, despsite the fact I've never seen either category in the PreGame Editor (and the Shots Against numbers seemed randomized...i.e. 9 and 126) - I checked Parent/Esposito/Dryden, all are modern players who have been overwritten/edited (and wouldn't likely have had 9 as "Shot Against")

Louis Domingue's career history entries all have zero entered as the season.

I've found quite a few duplicate career history entries in the database. The EHM Updater will remove these (except bizarrely for one entry in 2006 for Juraj Mikúš (the one born on 30/11/1988) where 7 games were played in the Slovak First Division).

I also spotted some mistakes with some of the SJ Sharks players not having playoffs ticked as "Yes".

Hey all,
Thanks to all of you who did this massive project. I have downloaded the new rosters but my player histories still only show up to the 06' season. Furthermore, Zach Parise is 32 years old and shows him as drafted in 1998? I am using the CSD patch V1.2. Am I missing something?
Thanks.

Nevermind, I downloaded the wrong roster update. Thanks though for all the hardwork. You guys do a great job!

All of the above (and more) has been fixed for Manimal v4.2. That is, except for this post regarding Steve Sullivan because I couldn't see any problem (let me know if I've missed something).
