Here are some common questions and problems (with solutions) users have encountered with regards to the CSD Patch for EHM 2007:

How often should I use the Patch?
You should use the CSD Patch in the following circumstances:

1. When you want to start a new game in EHM and you want to use a custom start date.

2. If you have the Finnish or Russian leagues selected: When you reload a game where you have not yet reached the 1st July at the end of the first season. You must use the Patch to set the same start year as when you first created the saved game using the Patch.

3. If you do not have the Finnish or Russian leagues selected: When you reload a game where you have not yet reached the 1st February of the first season. You must use the Patch to set the same start year as when you first created the saved game using the Patch.

Please note that you should not use the Patch to reload a game once you have reached 1st July otherwise you are likely to encounters errors/crashes.


The game crashes on a particular date during the first season
If you do not use the Patch each time you reload the game until 1st February/July (depending on whether or not you have the Finnish/Russian leagues loaded) then you will likely encounter a crash on one of the following dates in-game:

1 October
12 February
28 February
15 April
25 May
29 June

Additionally, you might encounter .cpp errors relating to the Finnish or Russian leagues.


When I try to load the Patch, nothing happens
It is because you have not installed the two required system software. The following must be installed in order for the Patch to work:

• Microsoft .NET Framework 4 (or higher) - http://www.microsoft.com/net

The Patch loads but the start date doesn't change

Firstly, download and install ArtMoney Freeware (aka Special Edition): http://www.artmoney.ru/e_download.htm

Once you have installed ArtMoney, try the following:

1) Download this file: http://www.ehmtheblueline.com/forums/do ... php?id=278

2) Load EHM 2007.

3) Load the CSD Patch in order to apply the custom start date. An alternative to using the Patch is to use the CSD Checker which can be downloaded HERE (it is the file named CSD Checker v1.2b2.zip)). I recommend using the Patch rather than the Checker if possible.

4) In EHM, click on the New Game button and select a database. This will take you to the League Select screen.

5) Load ArtMoney (using admin privileges if using Windows 7 or Vista). Click on the Load button and select the file you just downloaded. If you get a message asking whether you want to convert to 64-bit mode, click on No.

6) Ensure that EHM is selected in the process drop-down menu:



7) At the top menu, click on Edit -> Select All.

8) At the top menu, click on Edit -> Set Value. In the Set Value box, enter the value as 2011 and the step as 0 (it is essential this is set to zero). This will set all of the values in the right-hand section as 2011.

9) In EHM, select the leagues you want and click on OK to start a new game. Don't worry if the game start date on the league select screen still says 2006.

A very common question posted on the forums is why the game crashes on a particular date (the dates listed at the end of this post). The cause is always the same: The user has forgotten to load the CSD Patch every time he reloads his saved game. As detailed in the readme and within the CSD Patch window, the CSD Patch MUST be used each time you reload you saved game until you reach the applicable cut-off date. Only once you reach the applicable cut-off date should you stop using the Patch:

• 1st February of the first season - If you DO NOT have the Finnish and/or Russian leagues selected/enhanced.
• 1st July at the end of the first season - If you DO have the Finnish and/or Russian leagues selected/enhanced.

If you do not do this then your game will almost certainly crash.

If you encounter a crash on any of the following dates, it is because you didn't load the CSD Patch each time until 1 February / 1 July.
