Further edit: It seems I can post one word replies, but not longer. That's just weird!

I cant post in the Hockey Talk Forum about Brad Boyes hat-trick!!! Thats frustrating!!!

We're aware of this problem. I think what's causing it is the security modules of the server. Hopefully Octavian will be able to contact our hosts and get the issue sorted out.

I think that certain words will cause this error. Whenever you get the error, could you post in this thread a screenshot of the text you were trying to post.

Well, here a bit more of background on this problem: I have tried right now to post here what I wanted to write on the "Hockey Thread", but it also doesnt let me post it here.

It seems to me that it has something to do with a word, but I dont know witch one it is, lol!!!

We need as many examples as we can to see what words are causing this problem.

I don't have my exact text either but maybe this will help someone else whittle it down, I was trying to make a post responding to E_5's last post in the NHL Playoffs format thread in Hockey Talk; I split it to a new thread and then never was able to add the post. I've gotten it other times as well.

So yeah, if anyone gets the error hit your 'back' button and screenshot the text you were trying to post. If you were typing into a 'Quick Reply' box when hitting 'back' it will appear your text is gone but it isn't, just hit the Quick Reply button again and the window will open and your text should still be there. You could try to PM the exact text to me but it might just hit the filter again so it's best to screenshot it or email it

Well I replied to Systemfel's post and it let me today, so I can't post what is forbidden. I re-typed from memory so it's possible that it was one word before that I didn't include this time, but I have no idea what, sorry.

I'll post again if the problem comes back

I have a feeling that it may be to do with pressing back and then going forward again before submitting the post/copying and pasting from a word document.

whoa, I just got the warning right now on the above post when I spelled pressing incorrectly as 'pressin'??!

I took a look at E_Ca's guide on online games and whittled it down as to what was causing the error:



Strange thing is that you can post parts of it seperately and it works fine. Post it as one thing and you get the error

Just tried fixing my sloppy version of the word "sing".

One thing I can tell you for sure is don't use the word "s-e-l-e-c-t" followed by "from" or you will get the error. If you use just those two words in a message it will reject it, same as if you follow it with "on", "for", "to" or "in"

That's quite interesting because "Select from" is an SQL command

Btw, I managed to enter it by putting "" between the 'S' and the 'e' so that the server doesn't recognise it.

I just got the error responding to the O'Connell thread in Hockey Talk. I got the error while trying to just click on Submit. So I tried to Preview it first, then click Submit and that worked.

I was going to edit it later to add something, and it gave me the error again with no Preview workaround.

So it worked once, and then it didn't.

I have noticed that I've gotten it a few times and just gone back and tried it again and it's gone through so if you do get the error give that a shot...
