Large Salary Reset To Under $100k Question

Hi everyone,
Quick question - I know there is a bug in the game that if you offer a large contract to a player, the game actually resets the salary to less than $100k. Can anyone tell me what the value that a GM has to hit to get this reset?
Does the salary cap hit actually end up being $100k, or the full value?
