Bugs & Crashes in EHM 1

1st of all, i did notice when my team won a game in a big margin, then the unread news state my board delighted with game win again opponent team..some team name did appear, but some other didn't..hope SI repair this bug.

2nd, I also did notice when about to enter the draft session, before i click enter, there is no new unread news regarding other team want to make a trade before the draft..same also when in the draft session, i try go out to check, still no news from other team who want to make a trade with my team. But after i finish the draft session, there are several unread news state that several team offer to trade my draft lottery, but being rejected by my team. some of it is 1st rounder and 2nd rounder.
hope SI team can repair this bug also.

Anyone noticed players taking lower offers than previous when going to offer sheets?
Had a guy who must have been offered 6 mil as a qualifying offer to be a RFA, went to an offer sheet, and has re-joined their own team for a little over 4 mil.
Taking a pay cut like that to re-join the same team seems like a bug - either in players going to offer sheets in the first place, or failing to stick to their value. Fair enough if they want to leave they might accept less elsewhere but not to re-join.
This could all be less a 'bug' and more linked to the poor AI and the salary cap - perhaps the player should have had more offers from elsewhere to be picked up to prevent them lowering their demands so drastically?
I feel I'm already picking up too much top talent from offer sheets & waivers though so the AI might just need some work - if they don't want a player perhaps trade them earlier?

The player has no choice if he signed an offer sheet, his old team could match the offer, he cannot say "oh no, I no longer want to be signed to this offer sheet if they're gonna match."

Do you go on vacations? Sounds like you need to check your vacation settings. I don't use vacations much to time skip, but when I do I turn everything off so the team, the roster & staff stay the same without sudden additions or job changes. If you leave these boxes checked, the AI WILL make moves and if you are at a lower level, it can automatically throw your hat into the ring for higher rep jobs and even accept. You can come back from a vacation to find you are no longer the GM of the team you started with.

Nope, no Vacation Mode.

I remember seeing Clune placed on waivers, but I also know I never visited his page, nor did I view the Waiver Wire while he was on there. Therefore, I could not have claimed him myself. The AI had to have put in the claim, or the game just screwed up who he was supposed to go to.

I have a sneaking suspicion this happened with an RFA I tried to sign as well. I got notification that Teemu Pulkkinen had accepted my offer sheet and DET would need to match, and he somehow ended up on BUF's roster instead when all was said and done. But so much was going on then, and I got 2 other RFA's I went after, that I just let it go.

In my save TB drafted McDavid and i could not find it in transfer history but he plays now for the Sens

I have never had that happen Primis. So not sure what is up with that. IN 07 or in this game.

Playing as the Bolts lost rights to Adam Erne as he's "happy with his role" at the Quebec Remparts. Didn't accept any of my offers with the same reasoning. Considering Anthony Duclair is also there, wouldn't be a surprised if hiss "infamous" failure to sign for the Coyotes is also for the same reason.

True, although my point was more that they shouldn't accept lower offers in that situation, if he's an UFA then they might take a lower offer elsewhere but not RFA

Another bug I've noticed a lot is OT games finishing/going to shootout, but no shootout happening and the scoresheet shows the game was already won (usually about 1 minute into OT) but the game still played full OT and asked for shootout choices.

The other one is an AI issue, that should be posted at SI as well. But it is not really a bug. Just an AI issue.

Intriguing... can you withdraw the contract offer?

I didn't have the option in my menu at first, but I simmed ahead a day and then the option to Withdraw Offer was there so I obviously did.

Yeh that's a fair point, it feels like a 'bug' but techincally it's just the way the game works that isn't right.

The shootout issue is for games I'm involved in - Unless you can watch AI games I don't think you'd notice it as how would you know the game failed to enter a shootout?
I have the game view set to display only 'key' moments - and last time it happened it showed me about 30 seconds of game time but nothing key happened, so I wonder if it's a display failure in the Match Engine? That said the timing was incorrect as this was at least 2 minutes after the timing of the goal in the post match box score.
I've never had it work in my favour, it always seems to be the AI that have scored. Could be coincidence but thought I'd mention it.

If there's anything more that would help let me know, if there's a full text log of the games I can see if it continued past the goal? Or if I spot it again I'll take a screenshot if that helps!

Actually thinking about this some more, the offer sheet was never accepted (or declined for that matter). He just re-signed for his team on more money than my offer sheet, but less than previously offered by that team. Strange indeed.

Has anyone noticed a bug where the game end in a tie after OT and you are about to go into a shootout. I select who will take them and go back into the game and hit continue the game, all of a sudden it just stops on me and I notice a team has a goal in OT all of a sudden? This has now happened after the last patch was released (twice now). I suppose it could be because of some conflict with my save, as I haven't restarted after the patch.

Hey guys,

I am new to this game, so I apologise if this is something that can be easily solved . Theres one BIG issue I have with the game...resolution...is there any way to change it??

I can only play in borderless window or full screen, which is really annoying

There is no way to change the games resolution. They may make changes in the future to allow the game to play in higher resolution but you would need to speak with one of the people that work on the game. I don't see it as a big deal. I just hit Alt Tab to go back and forth between the game and whatever i may be doing online. In a perfect world It would allow you to change it to a higher resolution. I think once they perfect the game which may take awhile they may work on those changes.

There were like 4 to 5 teams interested in him and every time he accepted their offer the team gives up on the player and cancels the trade. Williams was getting trolled big time.

Yeah that was around a ton in 2007 as well. Post an SI forums. Also I have one where draft eligible players are refusing contracts from junior teams all over North America at age 17 for the whole season because they are shortlisted by NHL teams looking at them. The news items come up all season long about contract offers and rejects. Anyone else see that?

I'll have to create an account on SI Games, but in the latest update they added the small logos into the standings and schedule sections of the Front Office page. However the logos only show up after the day has past, otherwise there is no logo. Small and unimportant bug, but bug none the less. Anyone else having this issue?
