Really need to work on the goaltenders not passing the puck into their own net. 4 times in a little over a season is a bit much, and that's just the ones I've seen. It's bad enough when they pass it to the opposition!

Do you have Artūrs Irbe in net? :-D

I wonder if it's a game issue, a goalies Passing Attribute needing adjustment/lowering issue and/or Decisions Attribute needing raising issue, or some combination of the three, or...

P.S. I don't mean to pick on Irbe, he's just the first bad puckhandling calling that came to mind HaHa...actually Denis Herron came to mind first (because I was watching the Habs/North Stars game 7 from 1980 recently), but I didn't think many people would know who he was! HaHa

I think they just need to work on the code for 'puck cannot go through net so do not pass to player behind it!'. Maybe it's the defence positioning that's to blame as it's cutting off options?
I have Blackwood since Allen retired (Allen I can only recall doing it twice in his career, Blackwood is a liability). Reasonable attributes though. Regen goalies are pretty poor in a lot of areas so once I get one of those this could get pretty messy.

The In-game engine needs tweaks to player fatigue.

For example, the game does not regard double or triple shifting players to be especially onerous. If a penalty killer gets a penalty, I can often simply double-shift one of my other penalty killers without any detectable drop in fatigue. I've had many other times (I coach all games myself), where I can have my star players play for 5 minutes straight with no problems (the AI teams will do the same).

The fatigue factor should depend on shift-length, intensity, and recovery time. As it stands, player condition creeps down slowly as the game progresses, but does not have an appreciable impact on performance.

Yea this is really turning me off from the game. This and lack of goalie fatigue.

Guys, report the bugs/issues in the SI forums so Riz can fix it, he's improved aspects/issues reported by the community there.

If they fix the password reset function then yes.

I suspect they haven't, but I hope you consider just adding a dash or something (that's what I did, Nino33 became Nino-33 HaHa).....it's important that game bugs get addressed (even if SI doesn't address the password reset issue...I suspect Riz doesn't have control over such things HaHa but he does over the game!)

CeeBee wrote:My biggest complaint is that since day 1 of EA centers have been vastly underrated in not only ratings but scoring. It's happening in both my saves and every year but just looking now at the top scoring in the NHL and AHL only 5 and 4 of the top 24 points getters are centers. Last season in IRL 15 of the top 24 scorers were centers.
This is one of my main concerns with the game. Having drafted Connor McDavid and having Stamkos also (playing with EDM and TBL) both scoring roughly at 0.5ppg is sad (I've had better than that ofcourse but this happens often)...worse than that, Stamkos is all about the assists. I'm not sure if I'm doing any tactical mistake or something but the goal pattern is more often than not C-D-W-W-goal and sometimes D-D-W-goal.

The league still ends up with Ds being the players with the most SOG and from what I can tell, the sorting for ATOI in the league stats still only sorts for minutes (i.e. 22:11 will be bigger than 21:25 but could be smaller than 22:00 as it only sorts out the 22...).

Hitting stat...anyone notice that a lot of players have 15 or higher in the hitting stat?

Attribute decline - What the Dickens is wrong with some players? Going to give Kucherov as an example but this happens to one or two players in each of my teams that I have noticed. Kucherov started as really solid, fast, good technique and able to put the puck in the net or make the good assist. End of the first season he ends up with 60 something points and as my third FW with more ice time. Playoffs come and he beasts through them, I won the cup not in a small part due to his clutch goals and Adam Oates load of points. He won the CS trophy. The intro was just to show he played a lot and had good performance. Second season starts and his attributes are the same, so far so good. In January I notice that his ppg are declining...go to his profile to check for injury or something and I notice that he is 2 attributes down on all but one stat (including mental stats)! No injury history, no lack of playing time, no lack of individual or team success (and I have great coaches in TB). I'm puzzled but well let it be. One year later, with his performance was declining, again in January I compare a PS of his current stats vs the second season stats and AGAIN all but one or two are at least 1 lower.

I just gave this example but it happened to other players and it kind of BS to me :S (on and I don't think it is related to his training regime, happened to both players with specific training regimes and to players on the general training schedule - the one that they all start with - so there is no pattern in there). Age seems not to be a factor, happened to players in early 20s and players with 18 also. In older players I've seen something similar but find it normal. And this is probably my main turn off so far :( (PS: I raged and then proceeded to edit the few players that this happened to restore them to their original values).

It's not fixed, and I doubt it will be as it's been there for a number of years - it took some hunting but I found an email address so they can reset it - forums@sigames.com

It's more the hassle of new email account creation, new password, new login (then don't forget that one too). I think I have 4 accounts on there now, some for emails I can no longer access!

Can anyone please tell me how not to see this screen when my team is not playing? I only want to see it when my team plays. I already set the detail level to "None" in the settings. Thanks.

What's with the point production with center men. Seems like LW/RW always lead in the points category. Only 4 of the top 30 in league scoring were center men in my season. Take for example Anaheim's top line of Perry, Getzlaf, Fleischmann. All played similar minutes. All played on the first line and first pp. Perry finished with 91 points. Fleischmann with 88 points and Getzlaf only 59 points. And this is only one example. Players like Crosby and Stamkos struggle to points up and are scoring at a pace lower then they should be. I have a feeling they would put up more on the wing, Seems like i'm not the only one that has had this issue.

Is there anyway to remove or change the player focus/GM focus window from the home screen? I can think of more important things I want to see there than players' faces... But it seems like I can change only the smaller windows at the bottom, right?

Thanks.

Yea, there is a triangle at the top corner to change the window.

I've played slovak hockey league. There is a relegation battle between the last team from slovak extraleague and first team from 1.liga. In first season there was a team from 1.liga Trebisov which is not in 1.liga anymore. What's worth a goalie has a stats something around 0-2-30, so the team did not won any game, so how could this team qualificate for relegation battle? Anyway, there is new relegation group in slovak extraleague, similar as in czech where 2 last team from extraleague will fight against 2 best teams from 1.liga

You're right, in that box it's only a choice between Player Focus & GM Focus
I'm not aware of any way of changing this...I agree it'd be nice to have other options (for me there's other things I'd rather see too)

Thanks for your input!
I just yesterday removed Trebisov and added the correct teams for theleague with help from my Slovak researchers.
I am sure they will help Riz out with any new league changes

Yes, but I mean this one, at the top left. The triangle is only to switch between GM & player focus?

Is it just me or does it seem like the team that finishes last during the regular season never wins the draft lottery.

Yeah I noticed that. The few times I managed to get the pick from the worst team, I never got the first pick in the lottlery. I guess it is random but maybe it needs to be tweaked.

Patched the game this morning. If you play with "Sacking Human Managers Disabled" use caution as the box was unchecked after I patched.

Not only that, a lot of setting got changed for me.

Also, did the draft rankings disappear from the scouting reports on the player pages? I used that all the time...
