WIGHTLINK to NHL the great dynasty

Post by 3nigm4 »

Ok just start my season with Wightlink and fired half the team for better player asking less money (2700) 60k is not much to work with especially when yout think its a usual signing bonus on the LNH (Tho i never give signing bonus) My best acquired player so far are

-James Ellwood (LW)
-Mike Smith (RW)
-Andy Samuel (LW-C)

Any of you can aford a coach to train these ''elite players''? i laugh my ass out seeing in the personal window ''Players-Coach" status on 2 of my goon.

I play mostly physical coz they lack skillz an i won my first 2 match (luck) then the game crash to desktop.

Plz post your acquired player and tactic so far.

Quick Update -

Won another game a day after my first win against one of the better teams in the league.

Wightlink is advancing to the Semifinals of the Cup!

(2-0-1-0-1)

I recommend grabbing Danny Wood. He was ranked as the fourth best prospect in the league in the preseason messages as well is playing good on the fourth line for me.

Im dec 21 and im 22-12-9-1 for 25 point im currently 4th in the EPIHL. So far i couldve changed job twice : first to st-albert in the WHL and to the Moosehead of Halifax, i apply on both for testing and i couldve move to those team if i wanted... but this is too easy i gotta win the EPIHL trophy first. Then ill try to move to the Finnish Suomi or the British Elite.

Great idea for a challenge. I have dabled a bit in ehm 07 with the Edinburgh capitals but still trying to get to grips with the new tactics I think I will need to check out.
This Wighlink challenge looks good so after my uni exams I may give it a go. What leagues should I load up other than UK and NHL to have a good experience of being able to step up without having too many leagues on?

I have got loads of players on 2 way contracts from EPL with caps in fact maybe I am abusing this by having too many but at least it means I have no probs having 20 players dressed. Anyway keep this going guys and hopefully I can join in a few weeks.

For the same reason, I'll put mine at "Junior Player", although I'm hoping to be able to use "Hall of Famer" someday. ;)

Apparantly the fans were "delighted" at the appointment of a junior player as GM. I'd hate to find out what they had there before.

I also need a heavy duty personnel overhaul as well. All there is is me, and two coaches who are also players.

I don't understand this. There are some games called "EPLC" games, and some called "EPIHL" games. They only count the EPIHL games for some reason. :dunno:

Anyways, I'm 1-1-0 so far (or 2-1-1 if you count those elusive EPLC games).

The player moves I've made so far are:
-Signed LW Laurie Dunbar to a 1-year, $2,700 contract.
-Signed C Nick Cross to a 1-year, $6,100 contract.
-Signed C Graham Newell to a 2-year, $5,600 contract.
-Signed RW Danny Wood to a 1-year, $2,700 contract.
-Signed D Neil Liddiard to a 1-year, $2,700 contract.
-Signed RW John Dolan to a 1-year, $2,700 contract.
-Signed RW Neil Francis to a 1-year, $2,700 contract.

The staff I've hired are:
-Dougles Mckay as head coach.
-Chris Brittle as a scout.
-Damon Quiney as a trainer.

I don't know who the hell any of these guys are, so it definitely has been a challenge for me. ;)

Edit: I see. EPLC is the "English Premier League Cup". Man, this British hockey is very confusing.

I'm 4th place in the league, but I'm just in November so far. Very annoying team by the way. Wins one game with 5-1 and lose the next with 0-4.

I'm done with my season now and I ended up in fourth place. In the play off I got to semifinal, where I got beaten by Phantoms. And now I have double job, I'm the GM of Italy as well. :-D

That's why we choose them! :p

For some veterans, the game is a bit too easy, even if really fun! So the aim is to start from crash and make slowly our way to the NHL title! It gives a bigger challenge, and allow us to discover many leagues and many more players in the game than if we were only playing in the NHL! :)
