Could you list exactly which leagues you loaded on Enhanced and which ones you loaded on Standard? Also, which league start date did you use? I will then try to start a game in 2006 using the same settings.

Hi!
I have the following leagues selected:
-Nhl
-Ahl
-Chl
-Finland
-Russia
-Sweden

All leagues are on enhanced, start date is the north american start date.

Thank you very much for your help!

I'm getting a crash in early november 2013, using the Manimal 5.0 roster update and starting the game with the CSD patch at 2012.

I had the same problem earlier in the season. The game had been running non-stop since I started it with the CSD patch, but I solved it by just starting the game without the CSD patch.

What might be the problem now?

If I understand you correctly, you've been applying the Patch for too long
You should not use the Patch to reload a game once you have reached 1st February of the first season if you do not have the Finnish or Russian leagues selected
OR where you have reached the 1st July at the end of the first season if you do have the Finnish or Russian leagues selected).

nino33: Thanks for answering!

I actually had the game running non-stop until the first crash in early August 2013, starting the game in August 2012. I've tried three different saved game files on that save, but the game crashes on November 4th 2013 on all of them.

I'm playing with the Blackhawks in NHL, but since I have KHL loaded too, I chose the Russian start date at the beginning of the game, as I assume I must do for the game not to crash in September 2012?

I believe it's recommended to use the earliest start date available based on the leagues you have selected at start-up (I myself have never used the patch)

You'll have to stop the non-stop simming before hitting the February 1st (no Rus-Fin) or July 1st (with Rus-Fin) dates

All right, I think I've missed that part about stopping the game in time. :-p

So when should I stop the game and start it normally (not using the CSD patch) when I use the Russian and Finnish leagues? When I am at July 1st or before?

It shouldn't be an issue if you're NOT using the CSD Patch (are you using the Rosters set up for no patch?)

If you load the game using the CSD Patch and then sim the game non-stop, that's not a problem. It's if you re-load the game after 1 July using the Patch that causes a problem.

E.g. if you load the game using the CSD Patch and then sim continuously for a year, etc there won't be a problem. The problem is if you forget to use the Patch when reloading a game (and you have not simmed until 1 Feb / 1 July of season 1) or you use the Patch to reload a game when you have already gone beyond 1 Feb / 1 July of season 1.

Have you made any changes to database? Do you get an error message when the game crashes?

Panther23 - I haven't forgotten about your issue. I just haven't quite found the time to look into it yet. :)

Hi!
I have the following leagues selected:
-Nhl
-Ahl
-Chl
-Finland
-Russia
-Sweden

All leagues are on enhanced, start date is the north american start date.

Thank you very much for your help!
I tested using the same setup as you. I wasn't sure which CHL you meant (i.e. Central or Canadian), but I assumed Canadian because I know in terms of stability that this league can be more problematic than the Central (certainly in terms of dates, etc).

Using the NHL start date, the game crashed for me on the second or third day (I can't remember the exact date, but it was around the 1st or 2nd September 2006). So I tried again but this time selected the earliest start date from the active leagues (in this case, Russia). This time, the game worked fine and I could sim up to December 2008 without any problem.

Therefore it looks like the choice of start date is the deciding factor. We have exactly the same problem with the Custom Start Date Patch version of the rosters - we get a crash to desktop (without EHM showing any .cpp error) if Sweden is selected and the North American start date is used. I had thought it was something related just to the custom start date, but it seems it is something relating to the DB itself. I have no idea what is causing this (as is the case for all releases of the roster update, we changed and updated a heck of a lot in the DB). It could be something really minute like a contract for a player in a particular expiring on a date before the NHL start date - or perhaps a Date Joined date, etc.

The good news is that it seems that so long as you use the earliest start date available from the leagues you select, it should be okay. Obviously I only tested two and half seasons using the 2006 DB, but we did test something like 5 or 6 seasons using the CSD version of the v5.0 DB. Seeing as this issue seems to affect both versions of the v5.0 DB, I'll post an announcement about how to avoid the crash.

Everytime I start 5.3 rosters my game crashes even when loading database with : error 3.0.4. aust cpp or something like that.

Can you pls advise how to fix this?
Are you using the CSD Patch version or the 2006 version?

What leagues do you have loaded? Which game start date did you use?

Have you made any modifications to the database?

Hi Archi,

Do not be confused I am same user Mortex and Borgi but my account died :-)
I am using CSD Patch and I choose all leagues with starting date Sweden 12th of August 2012.(all leagues enhanced)
I did not make any modification of database 5.3 just use MET attributes editor.
If I start new game it crashes and I can see "v3.0.4 aus_eis. cpp 1011.
On the top of that I did it same way on second computer (because I purchased two elicences) and same problem occurs.

Please help me to fix this issue I would like to start up new dynasty in Colorado :-(

Hey Archi, I got the same error when starting with 5.3. I'm using the CSD version of the rosters with the proper start date (All leagues selected, Aug 1st). No mods to the DB.

I can't access my laptop right now (the power cable is drenched following a flood) so can't test anything myself. However, what happens if you try running a game with all leagues except Austria selected?

It seems we inadvertently put four additional teams in the Austrian EBEL. We need to remove them in order to bring the size back down to 8. If I can find time this evening, I'll release a fixed version of the DB.

Okay I think I've fixed it. I don't have any time this evening to test it. If anybody tries it out, please let me know whether it now works okay with the Austrian league selected.
