[MET] Birth Year Fix v1.0

The Birth Year Fix tool sets the Birth Year field for each player/staff in EHM so that it is the same as their Date of Birth. Within EHM, there are two data fields which store the player/staff year of birth. One field is the Date of Birth and the other is the Year of Birth. If the Year of Birth does not match the Date of Birth then issues can be encountered in game with regards to junior player eligibilty for the NHL draft (i.e. players can be signed without having to first be drafted).

This tool resolves this issue by correcting each player/staff Year of Birth field (i.e. by setting it to the same year as the Date of Birth).

This tool does not affect players/staff whose Date of Birth is 1900 or 0 (i.e. it does not update the Year of Birth field for these players/staff).

SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

You must have the following installed:

1) Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package - http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/de ... px?id=5555

If the tool does not function correctly or you get a Windows error then you may also need to install:

3) Microsoft .NET Framework 4 (or higher) - http://www.microsoft.com/net


IMPORTANT NOTES

Before using this tool, it is STRONGLY recommended that you make a BACKUP of your staff.dat file.

If you are using Windows Vista or 7, then you MUST run the tool as administrator: Right-click on the 'MET Birth Year Fix.exe' file -> Properties -> Compatibility -> Tick the box titled 'Run this program as an adminstrator'. Click on OK.

You should place this tool in the same folder as the staff.dat file which you wish to edit.
