Editing EHM using the Save Game Editor
Hey everyone
I was just wondering if there were any plans to release a saved game editor. I've been having cap issues in one of my games, so if anyone knows of any other ways to play with the cap mid-game I'd appreciate that too. Sorry if this has already been beaten to death, I tried searching but couldn't find anything.
Thanks

Re: Saved Game Editor?
Send players down to the AHL or trade them (trade replies are automatic when you are over the cap).dheats15 wrote:Hey everyone

Editing Numbers
Hey hey. First post here. Been a hockey fan for about 12 years. Been addicted to this game for about 12 days.
Anyways, I downloaded the save game editor strictly for changing the numbers of players who have gone elsewhere and adjusting the cap a little per season, as in real life.
Problem is, editing numbers isn't possible with the editor and since I likes my realism, it's pretty annoying (example: Mats Sundin doesn't re-sign with the Leafs straight away. He tests free agency before finally signing with them a week or so later. Only thing is, they've assigned one of the new guys the #13 so now Sundin wears #29)
So yeah, any help on how I could change the numbers? Peter Forsberg is #55 for christ's sake!

Not sure it'll help you right away, but...if you change the player's favorite number in that editor (let's say M.Sundin to #13), there is a good chance he'll wear that number next time he's traded (assuming that jersey is up for grabs). And if you like realism (I can see your point
), you might want to try acquiring that player, making some desireble changes and reselling him again. Some work to do
but finally you will get what you want. I hope it helps.

Well... time for me to dig up an old thread. I am a complete novice with using editors. What I was wondering is, can I change a player's name in the Save Game Editor? I just downloaded the first save from the Create A Star thing Calv has had going for us and I wanted to drop the TBL from my name. Anyone know if I can do this? It doesn't look like I can but I figured I'd check.

Staff attributes question
Since my thread on this topic was closed (without answering my question), I'll pose it here: I have a scout with 20 player judgment & judging potential, so when I went into the editor to see what his attributes were, it was 55 for both. So I edited all my scouts to have 55 in both categories, but when I reloaded the game, their abilities were the same as they were before editing. Just wondering what I have to do to get all my scouts to have perfect judgment (yes I know it's cheating, bear with me).
Also, if someone could do an extensive guide on editing staff attributes, since I've looked and I haven't found anything (other than what kind of coach you want to have, attacking v. patient, etc.), that would be very helpful.

I recommend you to edit CA and PA to 200. It's not enough if you just edit Judging and Judging Potential to 55
I would create a new database and create a new superscout, with all attributes on 20. Then I would start a new game and open Saved-Game Editor and check Judging and Judging Potential and change attributes, CA and PA to your scouts as the same as that superscout. I hope you understood my English.

This question was never answered in this thread and the other one was locked, but I have been wondering the same thing.
Anybody know?Dundalis wrote:Have just been fiddling around with this utility, can anyone explain why in the attributes tab half of the attributes for players show up as numbers around 200+ while others are with the normal 0-20 range?
