Once a card pack is released, extract pictures to \NHL-EHM\data\pictures\players\ folder. It is usually stated in readme file inside the archive. See this thread for more details. The Forsberg Fan wrote:Where do you put the cards ?

As far as I know, no pack using this cool AJP09 template was released so far. So the best you can do now is to look for the pack you're interested in here.
I use CS4 on my PC and CS3 on my laptop.jays_leafs4life wrote:I have been thinking about grabbing photoshop sometime soon and may make some cards If I do get it. What version of photoshop do you guys use?
Koolio. That sounds like a plan. I'll scratch the AHL and the OHL of my to do list then. I'll put up another list of the leagues people are doing later on in the week.jays_leafs4life wrote:well Ill be probablly getting photoshop in the next day or two. I can do the AHL and the OHL if you want.
Looks promising!jays_leafs4life wrote:So here is some quick, early cards for the AHL. Also just want to ask is if there is anything I can improve or fix?
PS-When saving the files, should I use their current date of birth or age them 3 years for Lidas's DB
Thank you for the advice. It was my first shot at making any cards so I didnt expect them to be perfect.Lidas wrote:Looks promising!jays_leafs4life wrote:So here is some quick, early cards for the AHL. Also just want to ask is if there is anything I can improve or fix?

Maybe you could try to keep the players and faces in a similar size in all pics.
For the face, the size you have on Eric Tangradi is much better than the one on Alex Foster.
As for the action shot, I feel that the Alex Stalock and Christian Hanson pics could be bigger (closer).
Also, the white text bar is longer on the pics with the name on the left size (Because the player on the template has a long name - Jamie Langenbrunner). Maybe you could make that bar a bit shorter.
... but these are just minor details.
Id say set the age 3 years older, since most users will use my DB once its released.
As for AHL, will you create pics for the players who are signed by AHL teams, or also the players who are assigned by the NHL teams? Just wondering, since Ill work on the NHL players later.
It will take a while before I can do the NHL cards. Once I get there, Ill check with you which cards you have done/are planning to do.jays_leafs4life wrote:[

But I was planning on doing all the players assigned to AHL teams but now that I think of it there will be a lot of movement between NHL and AHL before I finish. So maybe this is something Ill need to figure out.
Looks good so far. I agree with Lidas... with one minor addition, Tyler Bozak. I might of been better if you used the dual left card style, due to the postioning of his body. As the action shot shoul really be in the same postion for all the cards.jays_leafs4life wrote:So here is some quick, early cards for the AHL. I was thinking of starting the NHL on the weekend. But I can start another league if you have/are in progress on doing it.Lidas wrote:It will take a while before I can do the NHL cards. Once I get there, Ill check with you which cards you have done/are planning to do.
Hmm... if you were planning to start this weekend already, I'll leave NHL to you. Although I'd really like to do NHL, the earlier the cards are finished the better, and it'll be a few weeks before I can start. Also, I guess I should be focusing on the database instead.Andyjayp wrote:I was thinking of starting the NHL on the weekend. I never realized that they had so many great hockey pics there! Thanks for the link. There's some cool pics to look at.Lidas wrote: PS. I hope you are using http://www.life.com/ as a source for the pics. (Weird, yesterday the page was www.jamd.com. They must have changed today)
Yeah, I've been using www.jamd.com for my pics. Already got the source pics for 6 teams.Lidas wrote:PS. I hope you are using http://www.life.com/ as a source for the pics. (Weird, yesterday the page was www.jamd.com. They must have changed today)
Doing the cards is the easy bit. If you want to look into getting the pictures for the leagues thats fine, if you get the source pictures I would happily do the cards for the leagues. It would infact be a great help to me as I wouldn't have to do the looking myself. And it means I can just get on with what I like best, the making of the cards.Prowl wrote:I'd like to help with the pics, but don't have photoshop or have any talent with graphics. Could I assist in finding pics for players in certain leagues? I'd like to help anyway I can. Has anyone looked at the WHL or QMJHL?
