[Pre Game Editor] Cannot see the entire window (buttons hidden)

Post by canada52 »

I just downloaded the 1.5 version of the pre-game editor and I can't see the bottom quarter of the page, so i cant see the change database/load database buttons even though i know they are there because i can hit tab and eventually hit enter and load the database. And inside i cant see the confirm button and its very hard to search for players. I've been looking to re-download an older version of the pre-game editor so can someone either let me know where to find one or tell me how to fix this version of the editor it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Whow! Sounds like you have some weird resolution related problem? Or something?

I don't think there's anything wrong with the editor, something's up with your puter. Works fine for me, and I've never heard of this problem before. :-k

Hey, i've tried re-downloading it several times and it doesn't work, if i could get the old editor, i think 1.3, that would be terrific thanks.

[Pre Game Editor] Cannot see the confirm button

Post by righteouswolves »

Pardon my random and ridiculous question, but after some time of tinkering and searching, I feel I'm at a loss. I'm aware the Pre-Game Editor was created by Eastside UK, however, it appears the site has since gone offline. My question is how exactly do I change the name of a club? In the editor, under the Clubs tab, I don't see a tab or button that represents a SUBMIT or APPLY function to my changes. What exactly do I press to make whatever changes I make effective? Perhaps it's the Editors resolution, and a button is being hidden? My resolution is 1600x900, and the program appears a bit disjointed. Please help. Thanks.

That's strange. I have a confirm button in the same place under every tab. Here it is:

Yeah, my editor cuts off, and doesn't show the "ADD NEW" "DELETE" or "CONFIRM" buttons. I'm running Windows 7 @ 1600x900 resolution, but I've tried running the editor in compatibility mode, with no luck. The program does not appear to be adjustable in size, could someone help me figure out how to maximize it so I could see the remaining buttons?

Nevermind, I fixed it, I have to fun it in Maximized window mode. Very strange. I know it sounded like a very strange question, but thanks again for your help!

Official Pre Game Editor Thread. All questions here please

Post by Prowl »

I thought there was but I couldn't find it. I'll have to recheck when I get home from work later on unless someone can point out where that button is

Thanks again for the help

Yeah on the very first screen there are load and change DB buttons at the bottom of the screen.

I remember a problem where the bottom portion of the screen is cut off (thereby hiding the buttons). One possible solution is to maximise the Editor window: http://www.ehmtheblueline.com/forums/vi ... 863#p84863

Hi HHokari. I have moved your question into our thread about this particular issue. Try taking a look at the posts above to see if they help. In particular, are you able to maximise the window?

I assume i'm missing something super obvious here but i can't find how to import a db into the editor. When i go to file -> load i can't choose a db and it just says "Unable to load database, please choose another one", problem is that i can't choose a database in the first place, let alone change it.

Thanks in advance.

I'm just going into file -> load, in the pre game editor, then i get the "Unable to load database. Please choose another database" message. I don't even know how to select a database, i'm obviously doing something wrong, just don't know what :P

In the editor it says on the bottom "The Current database is: C:\XXXXXXXXXXX" I don't even have that folder.

Ah I see.

Confusingly, the file -> loan command doesn't allow you to select a database but instead opens the database in the currently selected folder. What you need to do is click on the Change Database button near the bottom of the Editor window (just below where it says what the current database is). Then click on Load Database.

That explains my problems, i have no "Change Database" button somehow :dunno:

Edit: Can i use the EHM Updater instead or is that compatible with EHM 1?

This is a familiar problem. Try looking through the following thread (and in particular the post I've linked to): http://www.ehmtheblueline.com/forums/vi ... 90#p137490

You might be able to force maximise the window by following these instructions: http://www.computerhope.com/tips/tip201.htm

By the way, I'm going to move our discussion into the thread I linked to.

Move it however you see fit :) That didn't work, got no shortcut tab. I'll use my massive google skills to work it out somehow :)

Edit: My google skills suck, if anyone has a solution it would be very appreciated.

When I open the editor and click run as admin, i go to file>load and I get the error "unable to load database, please choose another one." but it doesn't actually get to a spot where i can look through my folders for the database files, it pops up with the error before i even get chance to choose anything.
